When is HB getting removed?

I want to get my r3 title, and am wondering if I would have enough time. Does anybody have any estimate of when HB is getting removed?

i was thinking it would be last week but they stated it was taking longer for preparations for SD than they expected. possibly tomorrow but we don't really know.

I would imagine that it'll be removed next week with the Halloween update. I hope Anet will be courteous enough to give us a warning or at least post something about it on the log-in page, so people like dopey up there will actually get the memo.

Somehow....I sincerely doubt the Live Team even thought to warn everyone....

technically we are already warned about the removal. would be out of courtesy if they gave us a date.

By "we" you must mean Guild Wars forum users and GWW users. There has been no announcement in game and I am constantly surprised at how many people don't know about this.

Putting it up on the log-in (preferably a week ahead of time...although we're probably already past that) would be the least they could do.

Maybe we should keep an eye out for a "double xp on hb" weekend might be like saying last weekend for hb.

I seriously doubt that. As I said earlier, I think they're trying to remove it when they add the Halloween content....which will be pretty soon.

hopefully this month, but more than likely have hope crushed with that hope. probably within the year? lol

With the last big update in April there was an announcement on the main Guild Wars web site about all that was being included quite some time before the update actually happened. I imagine that the "PVP Love" update will be no different. A large majority of players don't frequent these forums and an even smaller amount pay attention to the talk pages on the wiki.

I'd be really surprised if the PVP update doesn't get similar treatment and is announced properly at the log in screen and on the official Guild Wars website at least 2-3 weeks before it is actually implemented. This update isn't going to be one that just springs up all of a sudden with a Thursday update. My guess is they might announce it along with the Halloween content and implement everything sometime in mid-November but as others here have stated only the Live Team knows for sure.

Quarterly means four times a year, or once every 3 months.

It's sarcasm. We're currently in the 10th month of the year and have recieved one quarterly update. We should be close to our third.

To be fair, the people who actually care about playing Hero Battles and do so on a regular basis are both a small subset of the community and likely to have a higher amount of knowledge about the game then the average player. Hard core PvPers.... even of that psudoPvP format, are going to be fairly connected to the community.


The average UWSCer might not know about HB shutting down. But I'm sure the people who actually HB and would care about the update do.
