Halloween weekend?

Is it starting this week or next, does anyone know?

Hmm.. looking back at all the event pages it looks like they put the decorations up at the start of the weekend before Halloween. So I guess that means we'll get decorations this year on either the 22nd or 23rd maybe?

It doesn't. Halloween is not a weekend event.

Im guessing that the towns will be decorated after next thursdays update and costume brawl will start next friday.

For those that are new to GW and the halloween festival reading this thread:

Hat will be given out on Halloween every three hours by the Mad King (Lions Arch and Kamadan). You DO NOT NEED ANYTHING to get hat and you do not need to play the game to get the hat. Just need to be in the game circle (you will know it when you see it). You can be afk and still get hat.

Just follow the schedule on the GW website to get an idea how much longer you will need to wait till the Mad King shows up again.

Sometimes they show the hat on the GW website as part of the festival announcements.

You can buy another players hat, but you can not wear the hat. The NPC that copies and saves the hat will not copy another players hat. Hats have no armor value. Other than personal value, there is no listed value for buying anothers hat. If someone wants you to buy a hat from them, ignore them. Or just find one of us here on guru if you REALLY want to try out wearing another players hat or copy the hat. I will do it for free.
