Does divine favor heal yourself on self targeted spells? For example, if i use a monk skill on myself will i gain the divine favor bonus or does that only work when i target my allies?

Unless the skill description says "Cannot self target." I'd assume any bonuses would work regardless of who the target is.

monk skills that you can target on yourself will also heal you with your divine favor bonus when used on yourself.

Divine Favor-wiki is ftw

a very simple way for you to have checked this would have been to go outside with a monk. have some attribute in divine favor. cast a healing spell on urself (example: WoH). See if two blue heal numbers pop up above your head (one is from the skill directly, one is from the divine favor bonus)

Why do people answering questions about GW posted on a GW forum love to point out all the other ways the poster could've gotten said information? Especially here at guru, you can't get an answer to just about any question without being told you could've searched some subforum for it, gone to the wiki, or tested for it yourself. Why do you people delight in pointing all that out? You're not smart, you've just played more GW. Why don't you just say "here's your answer stupid" since that what is sounds like.

Guess what? He/she also had the option of posting their question at a fan forum, in a subforum specifically for questions and (hold on to your hat, here it comes) ANSWERS no less, and voila, the answer appears. Amazing how that works.

Weird, I didn't get any sort of "here's your answer stupid" vibe off the earlier replies. Seemed more like Eragon was trying to help out and not simply answer the question but show ways the OP could learn to answer questions for themself in the future. What about that is as harsh as calling someone stupid?

Oh well, guess that's off topic. But it looks like the original question has been answered. Martin, buddy, are you sure you're not reading too much into it?

Martin is fine, hes trying to point out that you didn't get a clear answer the first few posts when one could have been given.

Because in the 17 minutes it took for somebody to actually respond to this thread, he could have already figured it out for himself?

I find it rude and unnecessary, and its rampant at guru. OP, trust me, if this was the first thread I'd seen this in, I would'nt have bothered saying anything.

Speaking for clarification...

All ally-targeted monk spells trigger divine favor on the target. If you target yourself, that counts. Spells like Healing Ribbon, while affect several allies, still only apply the DF bonus to your single target.

All non-targeted monk spells trigger divine favor on yourself (and only yourself). That includes not only "AoE" skills like heal area or divine healing, it also includes things like divine boon, healer's boon, symbol of wrath, etc.

do you think this hasn't been said before? it's the nature of people. some are extremely helpful, some aren't helpful at all and some help but with a sarcastic, biting edge.

anyway question's been answered and this can probably be closed because it could get messy. sorry if i'm stepping on toes outside of my forum.

at OP, the link above for wiki will probably be a quicker way to get the answers you're looking for, more often than not.
