Can you use a tonic that isn't yours?

I was thinking that if possible I could get a whole district in a form through the use of a everlasting tonic. Is it possible to open a trade window with someone and double click on the tonic to use that tonic?

No, you would have to complete the trade. Items in the trade box can't be used. If they could, people buying/selling any consumable (alcohol, sweets, etc.) would be ripe for scamming.

It's not possible that way, but I wonder if it is possible to use an everlasting, trade it with someone else and then have them transform into it. I don't see why it wouldn't be possible but I'd only do it with people you trust. =P

Yeah it's possible, when I was in SCAR we would all pass around our ever-tonics and everyone would use them - no issues ^^

You expect to easily get everyone in a district whom you have never met before, to take the tonic, use it, pass it to the next person and expect to get this tonic back?
1. People would forget your name by the 100th person.
2. More than one of those people would take your tonic and disappear forever leaving you with no tonic.

i have multi accnts and pass my El's between them using on hem all. Can be fun posing for pics. I have the skeletonic now and it looks like my main accnt has these skeleton dogs as pets, kool.

If you want to transform a district, be much safer to just collect a load of standard tonics of the same type and hand those out. Would cost less than the EL tonic you would almost certainly lose otherwise.

I agree - while this is possible and quite fun with friends you trust (friends and I pass-drink-pass when one of us has an e-tonic around all the time,) I would not risk doing this with random strangers. 
Seriously, etonics run well over 100k. Hopefully your friends wouldn't steal that from you, but you're tempting fate to go around passing it to strangers and expecting them to be cool about it.
And no - you can't use it from the trade window - you have to accept the trade and have the tonic in your inventory or storage before you can use it ... nice thought though!
And I'm not at all surprised that wilderness is well aware of his own dorkishness. He'd have to be ... he thinks Asura form is better than Charr form! Sheesh

I love these threads cause I am going to do this exact thing. I have my oby armor and my chaos gloves and the only thing left is the Beetle Juice Tonic!!
When I get it... I will be sharing it with my guildies!!! so when you see 50 guys all spinning around...you'll know why
I will not give it to just anyone...just those that I trust...sorry guys..
