Rasing Kurzick Faction in A luxon Guild?

Title pretty much says it all, is it possible? I'm getting so many conflicting replies in game. The Kurzick Bureaucrat guy tells me to speak to Ambassador, who tells me to "Get Lost!" cos I'm Luxon.

Any help appreciated because I'm confuzzled?

Ps. I had 5k Luxon, 15k Kurz. when I typed this, but have gotten rid of the Luxon by buying Amber (bought 3 instead of just 1 or 2 (fool)), will this make a difference?

The only way that I know of is to join a Kurzick guild. (maybe also guildless? conformation?) Utill you have maxed it. After that you can rejoin your old guild.

Unless they've changed the mechanics, you can cash in kurzick faction as a luxon if you have more kurzick faction available to spend than luxon faction. You can't donate it towards a guild you've been guested to for double faction, but you can get kurzick skills and amber chunks. You will get told to go away if you have more luxon faction to spend than kurzick.

You can still go to either versions of Jade Quarry, or House Zu/Cavalon and buy Luxon/Kurzick skills, which still yield double rep. Once you've bought all the skills for all your characters you're stoofed. Buying Amber/jade is 1:1 on your title.

If you get more Kurz that Lux faction go trade it in for Amber, it will add 5k to your title, instead of the 10k for donating to an alliance.

Great (sarcasm), so I have to now join a Kurzick guild, /sigh!

Buying Amber to max title seems like a looo-hoooong method

You do NOT have to leave your guild and join a Kurzick guild. The only things you won't be able to do while in a Luxon guild is play Alliance Battles for the Kurz side, and donate Kurz faction to your alliance for double title points gain. You can still perfectly well earn Kurzick faction from quests, PvP, missions, anything that isn't AB. As long as you have more kurz than lux faction at the moment, you'll be able to talk to the bureaucrat, and use your kurz faction.

Yeah, but tbh thats like twice as long for one of the most boring titles in the game. By the time I was finished with Luxon, the mere thought of the Jade Sea made me want to vomit, so doing that for twice as long in Kurzick areas is not an option. So yes, I DO have to join a Kurzick guild (for mental health reasons)

To break it down a little to avoid confusion


You do not need to join another Guild of opposite Faction

Protector Title....If Kurzick you need "Gala Hatchery Mission" (Luxon)

. If Luxon you need "Eternal Grove Mission" (Kurzick)

The Befriending Dilema

Forget what it shows in the Total Faction your Ranking
Look at the current faction you have on both Luxon and Kurzick.
e.g....lets say your Kurzick for this example it works the same for both

Lets assume the display shows 10k Kurzick and 1k Luxon and you want Protector title..Donate you existing Faction to your Guild or buy amber ect up to you..
At this point you will have Zero Faction in both displays
So go to Luxon for befriending( if you have a few chars wanting this so much the better)
Obtain the quests and get your 10k Luxon(Use Blessings) the more chars you have easir it is
Once you have befriending done and on 10k stop farming Luxon faction

Get every char you have pop over and obtain the "Quest Stolen eggs "
So every char has it in there Log.
Sell of your Luxon buy Jadite and your display will then be Zero again on both Luxon and Kurzick.

So you have only befriended Once by your chars and never need to do it again as all have Quest in there Log.

This works the same for a Luxon........you do exacly the same only you befriend Kurzick and do quest Defenders f forrest that takes you Eternal Grove.

We had the same "problem" in reverse (some guildies needed Luxon points) so we all chipped in and bought another game on a separate account. Created a character to be guild leader and so our guildmates can come and go. We like to be together for events so there is a lot of coming and going.

Another option is to do the Zaishen Bounty stuff when it Kurzick and luxon points since u get points for both sides

You don't need to leave your guild, you just need guest invites to a Kurzick guild where you can donate to their NPC. Hit me up ingame and I'll send you a guest invitation and you can donate to our alliance and still get the double bonus.

Many guild leaders are happy to send you a guest invitation if you offer to give back the 100 gp fee that they spend, so if you don't see me on just ask about in town.

Our alliance maintains a separate Luxon guild just to be able to send guest invites to our members so they can work on both titles if they so choose.

@ Ayelet: You can't get double faction by donating to a guested guild, because you can't donate to a guild you're not a full member of. I've tried it myself so I know it doesn't work.

I feel your pain, OP. I have to AB as a kurzick because of this.

Rack up as much faction as possible, and only switch for a few minutes to drop the faction, then come back. Better than switching guild for weeks/months.

Trying to max Allegiance rank is only something you do if you have a year of free time. It takes a very long time to max it. If you want a max title, there are much faster titles you can get instead.
