Last night I tried to make an avatar. A simple 100 x 100 png, which was a face shot of my avatar.
I tried to upload it and the size limit is far too small. It's something like 12kb? My tiny image was 20kb or so over. I even tried at a 60% compressed jpeg and it was still 15kb too big but the quality was far too ruined for me to compress the image any farther.
I know bandwidth is of importance but I actually like my avatar to look nice and not a pixellated mess ...
I assume you need to pay to actually be able to have a decent limit as I have seen people with 100 x 100 clear none aliased avatars around. I mean I don't mind adverts and stuff but all I want is a 100 x 100 image that isn't somehow "too big".
