Buying Factions & Nightfall Options

Hi All,

Need some advise pls. I have Prophecies and would like to get Factions & Nightfall. I looked at NCStore and saw that “Trilogy” is cheaper (50$) than Factions plus Nightfall (29$ each).

I already have Prophecies installed. Can I buy Trilogy and ONLY install Factions & Nightfall without “overwriting” my current account?

You have two options.

1) Link the trilogy. The extra Prophesies that is part of the trilogy will disappear, and the other two games will be added to your existing account. You'll get a warning that this will happen. Your existing prophesies characters will be fine.

2) Create a secondary account. You will have the trilogy and the existing prophesies on separate accounts. Your existing characters won't be able to travel to the other lands if you do this, but you will have overall more character slots than option 1.

If you want to play your existing characters with the addition of Factions and Nightfall campaign on your account, you may link the Trilogy. Your account is stored on the server... it's totally unrelated to what campaigns you have installed.

If you're not very far into the game and/or don't have sentimental attachments to your characters, you could create a new account with the Trilogy and have a Prophecies only account for storage or whatever.

Really, if you want one game account, get the Trilogy and link it. It won't affect your characters.

What does "link it" exactly mean pls? Do I install the trilogy and enter my old code for prophecies?

You add the trilogy code to the existing account. You can't enter your old code anywhere, you already used it to create your account.

I think your gettin confused on the installation part. Your running the game client, all games run off the same installation. Basically its the key codes you add to an account that allow access to the parts of the games

yep. its the first online game i play ... (besides a few very short trys).

find a NEW NF and Factions game

Buy for a total of ~$19 + shipping

or... get the trilogy for a second account and play with 2 accounts at the same time (6 heroes). But then buy NF and Factions for your first account as well. And get EotN for both accounts as well and you're all all set... LOL

Other online retailers are significantly cheaper than buying from Anet and paying full price.

Newegg.com has trilogy for 36.99 shipped when in stock, gogamer.com has it for 32.90 plus shipping. Newegg has EOTN plus Prophecies in one package for 9.99 shipped. I think they have Factions for about $15 shipped.

Any of them can be added to an existing account but if you are adding a package with a product you already have, you will not get another of that type. Such as, add the EotN/Prophecies platinum to an existing Prophecies account and it will just add EotN.
