Looks like 12yr olds with bad imagination and no creativity won almost all name henchman contests. New henchman names are atrocious, is that really going to stand in guild halls from now on?

I don't see anything wrong with the names they gave the new Henchmen.

Ah my apologies, I thought the character names of those listed as contest winners would be IG, as is shown on GW website.

But I logged in now and the names in Guild Hall are different and I like them

Few of us use our Guild Hall's GvG function for anything other than the occasional scrimmage. If that.

Love the new Henchmen, love the new names. Disappointed that HERO's are gone from GH's. I used to play CTF with my son and with HERO's now it won't be as fun.

There really shouldn't be any AI controlled NPCs in PvP at all. That is why it is Player versus Player and not Player + AI versus Player +AI. I personally think all PvP related AI should be removed entirely. Just my opinion.

I don't like these new henchies all that much.I would rather have all the Droks Henchies.I do like the one that look like Lina from presearing the Academy Monk as I have Wizards Island.

I have never understood why they allow people to use heroes/henchies at all in GvGs.
If you can't field a full team you better find a guest or add to your guild numbers.
GvSomeguys with henchies is was and always will be stupid no matter what skillbars they give the npcs.

Agree and disagree. I don't want the lined up like robots, but I don't want them random. I want them like the EN henchmen - which some are (such as Erick taunting the Zaishen Guards

), but not in a line like before (besides, that's ONE LONG LINE!)

So... what happens when a person cannot get a full team? Let's ignore those who want to use NPCs in scrimages for fun - what if you cannot get a full team because, say, something happens and the should-be person number 8 had to go to the hospital. The other 7 people wanting to GvG then cannot GvG - but wait! Add a henchman and you can now, though you're not at the full strength, better than wasting your time with no attempt at fun.

It's not a matter of whether or not the possibilities are justified in one way or another. It's a matter of, the format is Player Versus Player, which should mean that. A Player, should not have to face AI/Non-players, in a Player Versus Player environment. Sure it benefits the impatient and those that cannot get a team together, but the fact is, PvE is PvE... and PvP should be PvP, not P+AIvP+AI.

I really don't see a problem with the names. Most of them are pretty neat, I think.

Some of the appearances amuse me, though. The Dervish henchman in particular.

You would think that anet was smart enough not to let anyone name their hench when you look at all the dumb names people run around with in pvp "PWN JOOS LOL". I'm kinda wishing I could team vs all the hench in guild cause I want to go after them thinking it was their creators.

Couldn't agree more. I chose the Isle of Meditation and only picked the basics for my GH. Merchant, Xunlai Agent and Rune Trader. I just liked the clean, sparse look to go along with the theme of the hall. The pvp henches are an eye sore. Not because they have stupid names or that they look stupid, but because there's 20 of them crowded around in my GH when I didn't ask for them to be there. I don't care where they're placed, I just don't want to see them at all. What's worse is that I'm a PvE player so these new henches have nothing to do with me. The GH is my private place and now it's being intruded upon. When Anet added heroes, they weren't sprawled all over the place. You just had a nice list to choose from. If people want to place the PvP henches, then perhaps place them in pvp zones. Yes I know that people will say that the GH is a PvP zone but I honestly don't agree. I feel it should be a neutral place for both PvP and PvE.

So I would please ask that these new henches be removed from the GH or at least give us an option to display them or not.

Definintely not removed lol, but the option to display would be fine. But not removed.

'Siert' is only two letters off from my last name, so every time I see that henchie in my GH I do a double-take.
