Is it possible for someone to get banned for buying an invite to a guild?
stevenrussian
I was just wondering if all of those people who pay gold for an invite to gold, silver, and bronze trim guilds could get banned?

No. people do it all the time.

Why would they? They're paying in-game gold for an in-game status symbol. (Elite armor = status symbol, rare mini = status symbol, rare skinned weapon = status symbol - at least in some peoples' eyes.)

This is a very old question that was answered several years ago. Guilds with or without trims are allowed to invite anyone they want and can charge what ever they want. ANet only gets involved when it becomes a scam, that is, take the gold and no invite, or take the gold without telling them it is only for long enough to get a screenshot.

you are buying in-game goods with in-game cash, therefore no.
