So I was just looking through the pet guide on this site, and it says that Snow Wolves are not available pre-sear.

But I just saw someone with a lvl 7 pet in presear when we did the across the wall mission together?

Help? I would like a wolf pre-sear, I'm sick of Melandru's stalker.

there are wolves in pre, not snow wolves specifically, just regular ones. there is usually one roaming around outside ashford abbey as well as others.

Just give your pet to the Pet Tamer. I believe he is standing next to the ranger who gave you the quest to get the Melandru's Stalker. Then go out and Charm any pet you find.

Wolves (pre) and Snow Wolves (post) are actually the same, just as Striders (pre) are the same as Moas (post). The charmable animals in pre are Strider, Wolf, Melandru's Stalker, Black Bear, and Warthog.

Snow Wolves have the same skin as a Wolf, and wolves are available in pre.

I want to say something most players don't know. most people want a black bear. But the black bear does less dps then the other pets. Not that you need a pet for damage in pre (more for meatshield) But they have a skill called brutal mauling. and i heard it doesn't do extra damage. But the casting time of the skill is longer then a normal attack.

there is a difference between snow wolves and regular wolves there are regular wolves in pre- sereum but they cannot be tamed outside ashford abby but they can be tamed after as for snow wolves you can tame them once you get to the regular because there are no snow wolves in pre but you can get them in post

not sure but if he has a wolf or any pet in his menagere (probably spelled that wrong) from another toon he could get it there, right? so could have a snow wolf that way.

Pre-sear characters can't travel to the menagerie.

I've got a bear in pre, and not a day goes by that some know it all doesn't tell me how much bears suck. It's PRE, who cares if i don't have the most powerful pet? besides, the character is only left in pre to farm daily gifts.
