Why is it that holiday masks don't have armor and can't be upgraded with runes?

They can be upgraded with runes as far as i know , they just cannot be upgraded with insignias for some reason , no idea why though , try asking Regina on her talk page on wiki , its something many Guild Wars players would like the ability to do though.

Probably because otherwise any new char could get a max armor upgradeable head piece for 10g.

Holiday hats are never armored and you cant mod them, thats the way it is.

it's only for looks, not meant to be played in all the time. this prevents people from wearing the masks all year round; the fact that they are useless in fighting.

I want them to allow them to be changed. I posted a topic in Sardelac about it. I obviously see a reason to keep it from being 10g, but my suggestion took care of that.... check it out in Sardelac if you haven't yet.

I'd like to see masks being able to be upgraded with insignias. I don't see what's wrong with it, it still has 0 AR
