Henchmen Monologue.
Sword Hammer Axe
I might get booed for this but... FU flamers
Well here goes: I really like the little monologue that henchmen have in EotN (and now apparently also in Guild Hall and HA). It adds to their character and gives a certain extra story to them other than just being the henchies. I would like a similar system to how the EotN henchies have a different monologue per area to be implemented into the 3 campaigns.
Would this just be for story and such without practical use? Yes BUT I would also like this added:
In a town/outpost I would like to be able to ask a hench about its build. So that it would ping its build with attributes and all to the character, so that I won't have to check wiki and/or remember it all by heart before going into some area. Of course you won't be able to change any of it, but just have it as some info.
I really love hench, and think they add so much to the game (more than heroes actually), but always room for improvement

My New Name
wiki has all the skills info for henchmen...
and for the monologues...
can't think of a worse way to spend developers time atm...

well, they may intend to have another henchmen bar contest geared towards pve. if that's so, i'm sure what ur asking will be implemented on those henchmen. but, they did just overhaul every pve henchmen's skill bar, so maybe not. this would be cool, yes. needed? of course not. definitely something for anet to keep in mind though and maybe work on slowly as a side project.

I wouldn't mind being able to view the hench bars while in an outpost. It's not like it would take a long time.
Zodiac Meteor
Devona's Equipped skills are:
I can see that.
I can see that.

Id like this...i usually just grab them not knowing whats on their bar, hoping it will be useful...

/signed for the hench to display their skills like the new ones in HA and GvG do. Monologues would be nice, but definitely not needed, and a long time investment for writing and implementing I'd bet.

I'd also like to be able to see the skill bars in outposts, I hated having to check the wiki for all the hench, especially after all the skillbars were updated.

- About placement, Linsey said she wanted to do this. So it will, hopefully, be done.
- About listing the skills, agreed. I love that about the new PvP Henchmen. Screw having to go to wiki when you need to check their builds!
- Technically, there are two kinds of monologue - the kind when you click on them, in which this is different for every campaign (excluding Nightfall). The other kind is speech bubbles appearing above them like in explorables. This is done in Shing Jea Monestary, so it would be nice to see this in other outposts.
Give henchmen life! Don't have them like robots lined up! (Don't scatter them all over with no point to their placement either :P ).

Kind of pooey that GvG/HA hench can show you their bars but not the PvE hench. :\
It's a minor coding edit tbh. I mean, they already have the coding set up so all they need to do is copy and paste and change a few thingies. xD

Actually, I think that the skill showing was in fact just an additional to the dialogue. If so, the coding has been there since Prophecies. Just never done until now.

I'd like to see henchmen skillbars in game as well. It's sort of a nuisance having to constantly go to a wiki to look at skill bars.

I would sooner see ArenaNet's horrible attempt at character dialogue cut completely.

I like for the hench to have a little personality and what they say add to that... also love those emotes they use... like they are in a conversation or bored or what not.
