I first got Guild Wars when the original was released a few years ago, and I played for a few months before I got sick of all the people screaming and spreading their hate and rage.
2 years pass, and I just got back into it a few weeks ago. The screaming has not stopped. Every time I play with strangers, they yell and scream and swear because I didn't have their favorite skills equipped.
I got frustrated and decided to start calling people ------- NOOBS, as soon as I entered a game to see what would happen. Eventually, I got suspended for 3 days.
Now, here is what I don't understand: if I get suspended for that, why are there any people still playing Guild Wars because they should all be banned by now for utterly disrespectful behavior.
Does a person have to actually report you to get suspended, or is ArenaNet actively monitoring the chats somehow. If someone does report someone else, how do they submit proof of misconduct.

Really, I just don't appreciate being yelled at ALL the time EVERY RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing game. I'm trying my best, and I don't think I'm that bad.
If you die first, it's my fault.
If I die first, it's my fault.
If the entire opposing team hexes and burns me while I have backfire on me, I'm a noob.
If a mesmer/ranger interrupts me, I'm a noob.
I'm not you, I can never be as good as you. Can you please relax? I know you can say anything you want to me, but the second I say something, I get suspended.
If anyone here has a problem with me and wants to kill me because I use Fireball, please, speak up. I never meant to offend you, I just thought we could play as a team and have fun in this video game. Instead, I have offended you in the worst way and you have sworn a blood oath to ruin my life. I'd like to have a chat.

Yep.... people are dicks. Is this somehow new to you? Still, maybe you should consider not playing with random PUGs given that's the experience you seem to have. Join a guild or take your heroes along. Especially in PvP people get pissed off really easily, so if you don't like that kind of pressure, maybe PvE is more for you. Given that you have been out of the game for a long time, you probably DO have a lot of catching up to do... so do it in a comfortable way with people who aren't dicks. Yes, there are plenty of people in the game who aren't dicks. I know at least like.... 6 or so. There, theoretically, are others
