The Grand Goal of this Workshop is to allow new artists to jump out of the shadows,
to learn to give and receive Contructive Criticism, to enhance the Community Feeling by making
a collaborated effort to get a Guru Member amongst the Winners, and most of all;
have a great deal of FUN in the process.
You might fret that this thread is to be focused on winning the Official Wintersday Contest alone,
but that is NOT the case. The Official Wintersday Contest is our superficial carrot, something people
will strive for if the goal of progress and growth isn't enough at first. The most significant purpose of
this thread will be to see people make an effort, and to see them grow by doing so. The Wintersday
Workshop Awards will aid this cause. This time around we're even introducing a couple of new categories
which may otherwise not be so compatible with the Official Contest.
This Workshop will last from 07.11.2009
and until the results of the Official Guild Wars Wintersday Contest have been posted on GuildWars.com.

Q!: HOW DO I SIGN UP for the Workshop contest!
A: Fill out this form and post it in the Workshop:
Name: (Tzu)
Idea for entry: (grentchies making yellow snowballs)
genre of art: (illustration)
Then, get a Progress Gallery. This isn't obligatory, but it makes judging your entry a LOT easier.
Also, you won't be eligible for a couple of the awards, if you don't have one/haven't shared any progress in this thread.
A Progress Gallery can be hosted anywhere (DeviantArt, Photobucket, Wordpress, etc...) but for quick, simple and free space, check out Verene's offer. Register there using your guru username, and she'll make a folder for you which you can use as you want, whenever you want. You'll usually see your folder pop up within the day. Once you have your Progress Gallery, wherever it's hoster, share a link here.
You've pretty much "signed up" the moment you start sharing progress in the Workshop thread, but if you do it the abovementioned way, it will be a lot easier for the panel of judges to find and evaluate your entries in the aftermath.
THE DEADLINE FOR ALL ENTRIES, except Prose, IS THE 31st OF DECEMBER.
