Wintersday Workshop

I've just submitted my entry to Anet.
Last time I used clay was in kindergarden (I'm 31)
It was a lot harder than I expected, especially the heads.
My optional idea was to bodypaint my gf and make her a winter sylvari costume of leaves and lots of glue :P she's one happy gf now.

Can't wait for the Dwayna costume to be completed
And just wanna hug that chibi

right, I pulled myself together and worked some more on my entry (actually I should be working for uni but wtf )

Minami Kaori has joined the Pious Snowmen as Co-Organizer of the Workshop Party!

I think I have my first background finished. Only eight more to go... not to mention the eighteen or so characters to draw. So much work... me and my silly, complicated idea. At least I'm getting better at using Photoshop, hehe.

Blast it, I had to go away for a while and come back to find I missed a spot in the job I would of been perfect for, The Pious Snowmen area.

Looking lovely Minami! There's something incredibly cute about chibis of evil things I think it would help his facial expression if you changed the crack down the front of the skull to something more like a chibi mouth... like a single line or just a dot. Because at the moment it does look like his mouth but that distorts the expression a bit. If you know what I mean... lol. Me and explaining stuff >.<

I think I finally figured out my composition. Now it might make more sense when I said I was doing a "series". The backgrounds are pretty much done at this point but I haven't updated this layout with their newer versions; this is just the early stage progress pictures. I also need to work on the characters but my arm is tired from all this drawing. I am never doing a multi-scene entry again.



Might do some overlay designs like snowflakes and lights to make the frame more Wintersday and tie the pictures together a bit more, but still have a lot to do before I even think about that.

@Odinius. Can we see a picture with something next to it for scale reference? Just curious. That's really neat.

@lorenna. What kind of paints are you using? Is that on glass or plastic?

@Kiya - I started mentally singing "fungal slug" to the tune of the Spider-Man theme, and then it switched over to Jingle Bells XD The eyes (or lack of) make it look all sorts of demonic, haha.

I've got no new progress myself yet - stupid finals time at school. Should have time to work tonight or tomorrow though. Everything's supposed to ice over so I'm not coming to school tomorrow, that's just plain dangerous to drive in.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this. Sorry if it is. I though i would show off my work of crap to everyone,..lol Gwen cutout. (not ment for people with big hands)
