I was Scammed. got a question.

Yes, lol me out. A dude called something like Nervin blabla something tricked me to give away my account info. kinda noob thing of me. i know i cant get back what i worked for. but can somebody answear me... i think its a little odd if you buy Prophecies, nightfall and factions.. you got three cd keys and so on.
But if someone steal (in this case.. gets) my account.. then i cannot ever more use my keys i registerd my game on? do i have to buy everything new again? whats the deal with that? i tried the support this whole day.. and i never get response. What should i do.. i just want to be able to log in again and play.. i take it that i´ve lost the things i built up.. but cant you make a new account or something for your cd keys? help a noob out!

Not going to bother with the blah blah about keeping your account info secure, you've already learnt that one

Once your keys are used, they cannot be used to create another account.

A couple of things to remember though.

Keep plugging away with support, they may ask for scans of your original CD keys, provide to them everything they ask for, you may get your account back that way.

If your account is linked and the person who has your account does not have the NCsoft details, simply login to the website and change your password (and then the email account). This way you can take control of your account immediately.

If you do get your account back don't expect there to be much on it.

Sorry but I do believe this is a support question and only they have the answer.

About the "noob got hacked" thing: It's easy to get fooled when the scammer speaks with glittering words and the promise of diamonds lol. That's why stuff like Scientology is doing so well lol.

I hope you get it worked out with suppport asap.

As long as you have proof of your cd keys you should eventually get the account back via support. They are probably slow now due to the recent wrongful bannings that they are working to clean up.

My thoughts/suggestions on the matter:

1) Support if your answer. They WILL get your account back for you provided you have your ORGINAL access key card(s).

2) You're not "stupid" or "dumb" like what Chthon called you. Ignore him. Life happens and not everyone is as internet/account privacy savvy as others are.

3) Sorry for your loss. Once again. Life happens and all you can do is hope for the best.

4) I hope you will take this as a learning experience. If you do get your account back then always remember you could have been less fortunate and not gotten back at all. Second chances are not always given.

I'm sorry you got your account stolen, I'm sure it was a hard lesson learned.

But this situation reminds me of something I've always wondered. Say a person does get their account hacked/stolen and are unable to log into it. When you contact support and they say you need the key that came from the box you purchased, what happens if you no longer have the key? For instance, you have been playing for years and have lost or thrown out the box along with the key, are you just plain screwed or is there some other way for you to verify that it is your account?

there is a point you need to have proofs...
if you change your name you are not helping them either.

if you don't help them it will take a bit longer, and will probably go to step where purchase proof + real identity proof are needed.

Unfortunately, there is nothing any of us can do for you here.
