Old player. I have a few questions.

Firstly, I used to play GW from day 1 when it was first released up until about a year ago. I gave away all my stuff and uninstalled it off my old computer.

I want to get back into the game but before I install it all again, I have a few questions:

1. Is there still a lot of active players?
2. Anything new that I should know before installing and/or making characters?
3. Are active players still 75+% Assassin class?

Hi, i was in the same situation where i quit about a year ago. I can tell you that there are still alot of sins, but the UWSC sinway got nerfed, so its not as bad as it used to be. Im still kinda learning about what has changed, but im starting to get used to it. Basically, there are new builds, and the pvp has changed, but thats about it.

1. Not as many.
2. Nothing new that affects creating a character. I would say though, that GW ain't what it used to be. It used to be a PvP/RPG- now it's just a farm.
3. I don't think they were before, but they sure are now.

2. make a toon ud enjoy try mesmer if uve had good past time playing their a great new proffession for old players.
3. not 75% to many complainers but yes u will find many people still have assassins.

Pm me in game once u reinstall if ud like some help im most likely to be on "saw seven" but if not add me to friends if u need help or something

1. There are still lots of players. Unfortunately they are spread across three campaigns and 1 expansion.

2. You joined Guru in 2008 and I listed the 21 posts (counted as of the one above). It seems that you have been active in the game a little over the past year-PVP, account suspended and going for legendary survivor. I myself only have 21 posts (22 after this one).

hey first of welcome back. i have been playing for just over three years and atm this is the lowest amount of active players mind u theirs still a lot but it is down. there was a lot of assassin of the UWSC(underworld speed clears) but that's been nerfed and we are seeing more player from all classes and makeing classes they have never maid before. games still great and cant wait to see where anet takes this whole Dhuum quest's time will tell lol

1. still a decent amount, but prolly a little less than what there was a year ago.
2. ummmm, idk. u should prolly skim through all the update note for the past year to help u on that one can't remember the state of the game a year ago.
3. a lot of people have assassins, but they mainly used for speed clearing and anet may be in current progess of putting an end to that ;-) we shall see.

3. The perceived percentage of assassin players depend on what guild you choose, what areas you mainly visit and on your general style of choosing fellow players. I do general PvE and am in a general PvE guild, and there are usually zero (0) assassin players in our teams.
