Good Derv Build????

Is anyone else having as much trouble putting together a good PVE Derv build? I seem to keep running into energy problems. Most of the builds I've read about, you don't have enough energy to use your skills. As a general rule I ALWAYS put offense, defense, and self healing in my skill bar. I don't like depending on others to heal me (I don't mind the help, but I don't depend on it. I die less that way, a lot less). Please no paper builds. You know the ones, good on paper, crap in actual use. All other help is greatly appreciated. I've beaten every campaign once or twice with my other characters, but nobody knows it all. Thanks in advance.
