/Aion Emote Codes Region Locked?

Now that the dust has settled I was going to pick a /Aion emote key up cheap, but the first place I looked is claiming that:

"This version of the emote is for US servers only."

(I'm in the UK. )

I've never heard of GW codes being region specific, but then I cannot say I've gone far out of my way to buy codes before - is the vendor correct or would the code work just fine?

Mine came from america (I live in europe) and I had no problems adding it. My opinion would be that the vendor is mistaken, however you should ask anet support to be 100% sure.

I know a girl from Ukraine who bought the access key from someone in America and she had no issues what so ever in applying the access code.
