I played Guild Wars when it first came out and had a great time. My group of friends might get back into it (especially since we all own the first one). However I decided to load it first and see if it worked well and was a awesome as I remembered. The problem is I am loading Asheford Abbey and it is taking more then 30 minutes just to update the Abbey. There is no way we will all be able to hang out together for super long updates on the few nights we have to game.
Is there a way to update most of this without having to be in-game and just waiting on each area to update? Thanks for any ideas!
A faster way to update?!?

Right click your Guild Wars shortcut, and on the TARGET box, go to the end of the current target, and type this without the quotes, leaving a space between the original target and what you type:
"-image"
So it should most likely look like this now:
"C:\Program Files\Guild Wars\Gw.exe" -image
Press Apply then OK, and try to start the game like normal. Now, GW will download all available content in one giant rush (this will take a long time so do it maybe overnight while you sleep) and it won't have to load anymore after it is done.

Be sure to remove the "-image" afterward.

Let the long DL begin! Thanks for the hint.
