The next update?
upier
Since the last update was in September, shouldn't we see a new one this month?
Or was there any news stating we won't see it?

/roll 12 i think is the new system

i thought healing breeze got a huge buff cause i saw every monk and every single other person in RA this morning using it. turns out euro RA players are just that bad.

I thought the quarterly updates where dropped, according to Linsey.
Or are you talking about skill updates?

But yes, I was talking about the updates that we were supposed to get every two months now.
Since it used to be the second Thursday of the month, I expected to see it yesterday.
That's what got me curious.

Speculation states that there's a slim chance Dhuum returns on Friday the 13th and might be accompanied by a minor update.
Buuuut it's all pretty much up in the air.

The Waiting Game didn't just apply to the quest, it seems.
Eragon Zarroc
meh, suppose to have skillz updates bimonthly but they just switched to the system. so i don't expect it to be running on time the first time too much. we'll see updates when we see updates (see, don't get my hopes up when thinking like that )
instanceskiller
Even though my hopes have severely dropped like to almost nothing now
i would actually have thought there would have been a skill update by today at least since it was the second Thursday of this month yesterday. I hope they do not delay it any longer since they did promise a bi-monthly update two months ago and lindsey mentioned about going for more ambitious skill updates because of the schedule. I was really looking forward to these skill updates because they are one of the only things that keep me coming back to gw so that i can try out new builds if there is a delay it better be one week at the most!

^you better not expect anything from anet since you will just get disappointed. I don't even get why do they still run gw1, its a dead game that was good in the beginning but its so terrible now that there are no words for it... it would just be the best to let it die finally if they can't run it properly. Best thing they could do to the game at this point is on Lilondra's wiki gamebalance page.
Xsiriss
We SHOULD get one,but anet are lazy bastards who make promises they know they can't keep. Simples.
instanceskiller
ah i think you may be right wuhy i should stop wishing for gw1 and only do so for gw2 now and i agree they are getting lazy, for gw1 anyways. Then again there are only two devs IIRC? Oh well please may the dragons hurry and wake up and put you to rest soon gw1

So we’re going to ease off that kind of schedule in favor of something a little more fluid. We will still prioritize our projects with a content update in mind, but they will be generally smaller in scope than the Anniversary Update, and we won't be afraid to do them in close succession should it be warranted. For instance, we would like to release a content update in the next month and a half, but we'd also like to add new content to Halloween and/or Wintersday.

At least they are transparent in what to expect
Axel Zinfandel
As stated on the wiki, I'm pretty sure Anet runs on Valve Time
If that's the case, then I guess we shouldn't expect skill updates for more then a month from now.
So much for 'quarterly updates'. and 'every other month skill updates'

Those PvE skill balances are overall VERY good ideas in my opinion. they are PV friggin E so 'power' creep doesn't matter and it'l make thing interesting...

is no-one else not supirsed by anets lack of updates? has history not taught us anything? am i not the only one who has lost all faith in anets promises to deliver shit?
how long can the fanbois hold out before they just give up defending them? i mean... really? quaterly updates.... dicked on.... xunlai house... 4 months to fix?.... bi monthly updates?... where have they gone?
how long before people just go 'screw it, ive had enough'. i only play GW now to keep in contact with the good friends ive made, i used to get excited about skill updates every month, and watching AT to see how my predictions went, but now, who cares? and why should people care?
it just isnt good enough in my eyes... and people who say 'its free to play, you pay for what you get' console games add new content all the time, and you also pay a one off fee.

As whiney as that poster may be he does have one point. I think a lot of us are beyond caring because our expectations are being shat on. That's probably why this thread was created so late, when months ago people would have been flipping the second we didn't get an update. Now people are just like "what? Anet failed to deliver another thing when they said they would? Surprise."
I mean I know it's hard for them and all but you generally don't make promises you can't keep. Repeatedly. I sorta liked when gaile was in PR because at least then we got answers that were simply "I don't know" or "I can't say", so at least we knew someone was hearing us :P
but whatever happens happens. I couldn't give a care either way.
