It turns out since it hit steam, if you go into the Massively Multiplayer genre and select the Highest Rated tab...ding, Guild Wars: Game of the Year Edition is top of the list with a score of 89 (hitting the client at Apr of 2009)

Guild Wars is flawed. But that didn't stop its rampage.

It doesn't exactly have a ton of competition on steam... funny to see Aion so low though. (not that it's undeserving)

Aion's kinda treated unfairly. Mostly just forum goers are... well, every video game/movie/tv show is the worse thing in the world on their fansites.

WoW/WAR/<insert MMO here> has a "kill 9 boars" quest... its *shrug* that's expected.

Aion has a "kill 9 boars" quest... OMG its an Asian grinder.

Steam is great until you have an issue with your account then your $&%# out of luck, and all those games you paid for no longer work.

Steam = fail (because of poor technical support)

Thats why you back the up with a steam backup package and reinstall them when you need to or your account goes south. Mine didn't stop working but I was able to reinstall the fully working games completely offline. Plus, the CD keys are in your Windows registry. That + backup package.

That's interesting, i have not heard of a steam backup tool and i didn't know cd keys were stored in the registry too (i suspected) but never checked.

If it's no trouble could you post a link to that backup tool or a way to get the keys from my registry? I would feel much safer knowing i have the cd keys wrote down some place safe...

Its on steam itself, you right click and one of your installed games and choose backup (or choose properties and back up game files somewhere in there), then it lets you select the games you want to and specify breaking it down in sized files (for placing on DVD's or CD's and such) or one big file if you want to keep on a backup drive. Te CD Keys go with the games i'm positive.

Not sure how GW on steam would work. I imagine they must email you the account key since GW isn't a cd key based game, just a logon game.
