Argh, it was one of the few things I enjoyed doing in my spare time. It was a very unique format of PvP and was quite challenging. I'm suggesting to bring it back in an unrated and unsupported form. I really don't care if it remains how it was, I just want it back.
I understand it had many issues, and that it didn't appeal to many players. But I still feel that quite a few players enjoyed the format before it became RR day money frenzy. I still don't understand the reason to remove it in the first place rather than just strip it of its zquest (or tone it down), as many aspects of the game have been neglected for long periods of time and aren't totally removed from the game. Anyways just wanting to see how many people felt the same, I know it wasn't really popular here but can't think of any better ways to show support for it.

it was total shit since the beginning, everything about it was broken and flawed, it was the same garbage vs the same garbage, and five billion other reasons you can read in every other thread.
if they brought it back as no reward - no ladder - no nothing absolutely nothing, nobody would play it. it'd be dead guaranteed. there's like 3 of you in all of guild wars that actually enjoyed that trash, the rest just were in it to reap the benefits. the ridiculously easy, griefing, exploitable benefits.

Thats funny, I believe there was regular competition between the first 1-1000 and also alot more, maybe count up to the 5000th rank.
So you're telling me 3 people have between them 5000 accounts? Or your statistics are overly exhagerated and wrong. |
While his statistics may be slightly exagerated, they are not far from what is true, few people enjoyed HB and took it seriously.
And many top HB'ers have multiple accounts. Just as [rawr] have multiple guilds.
And yes I agree with Chocobo, I wouldn't play HB, but some people still might. If it were to remain it would have no title and no zquest.
But now it's gone and HB outpost = Codex outpost, I don't see much point as they would need to revamp another outpost and redo the coding, not worth the effort for the crap that was HB.

Seeing the lack of popularity of CA, I don't see a problem with bringing back HB in a form that's closer to RA. What I mean by that is remove the ATs or ladder, and reward Victory points only on a number of consecutive wins. This would deal with a number of problems, and I wouldn't be surprised to see the format become more popular than CA in this way.

i say bring back the ladder in the official site, if you noticed a player that was in the ladder at the day hb was removed and for instance that day he made 2months of not playing hb, 1 month later he got deleted from the ladder for not playing for 3 months. I have one thing to say: NICE F****** JOKE ANET
I agree, Codex arena was a great idea, but there was really no good reason to remove TA and HB. It's a RED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GORED ENGINE GOing game, people that like TA should still be able to play TA regardless of how unbalanced it is, and the same goes for HB. All you are doing by removing it is making the game slightly less diverse and slightly less fun. Screw titles, if ppl want to title farm, good for them, I've got better things to do than sit in HB all day Red resigning just to get a fricken title, and personally would much rather prefer to actual play HB than worry about a title.

I liked HB because it was the only place in GW PvP where if you have failed it was only your own fault.

I want either HB or just a form of 1v1 combat.
"Sealed Deck" as it is so called, isn't even true to it's name. Is a team setup where almost everyone wanted random. And now glad points are even more harder to get due to TA loss.
was an OBVIOUS exaggeration. thanks, captain OBVIOUS. way to take an OBVIOUS exaggeration seriously.
