Increasing awareness is a good thing.

Yeah, I also noticed the misspelling... I mean, it's probably a dangerous site anyway, but yeah, a lot of people would just click it.

If people would stop registering their e-mail address at the most obscure websites promising impossible things, maybe their e-mail wouldn't get spammed with phishing mails...
I've not received any of these mails in my entire life!

I got one like 2 weeks ago, it's the famous show an address link looking like it's spelled correctly, but when you click the link it redirects to a different site.
"=w
Was shown as w"".worldofwarcraft.com
but sent you to w"".worldofwracraft.com
too bad I don't even have a WoW account, also I forget the mail addy but if I remember correctly he/she was able to have @blizzard.com or something. Just because this thread popped up I decided to see if the site is still going, it's gone already.

I don't have a WoW account either and even went so far as to forward the email to Blizzard support. Yet, I keep getting MORE of these. Its more of a nuisance than anything, since it's on a safe email accnt. Just odd that an email not associated with any gaming has gotten tagged.

It never ceases to amaze me how often these things work no matter how often virtually every legitimate site will say they don't send out emails asking for this kind of stuff as they can access the info themselves anytime...

I got the other WoW one (from World of Wracarft) and I could tell immediately that it was fake by the grammar and sloppy layout. I clicked the link anyway, which Firefox indicated was a forgery, and the page was just blank with an E-Mail and password box - no branding or authentication.
Surely these people can try harder?

They forgot to ask you for your bank number, security code, mother's maiden name and your waist size.

Update: here I have received another e-mail most likely from the same con job. Only this time they've made a new website. This one is far easier to tell it's phising because they didn't hyper link it. The link is miss spelled and you can see right away.
Warning if you do decide to check this site plz don't enter any info, the site it self is actually pretty well done in my OP.

Oh, my God. Wow. On the bottom of that page, it gives itself away by having a warning:
