Prices of the Zaishen Hench Tonics

Hey guys I noticed a few Zaishen Henchmen tonics up for sale and is it me or are the bids extremely low for these? i mean they are each the ONLY one of their kind in existence in all of guild wars. hypothetically speaking they are rarer than kanazai. thoughts?

Sure, but if you use them anyone will just assume you are a PvX wiki copying lucker.
Plus the transformation is human sized.

the prices go by who wants it and who can pay for it...u cant ded a tonic in ur hom and it be urs....

They are useless. They cant be added to the HoM and other than using them in towns and outposts they have no purpose unless your a power trader and spend most of your time there. PVP players cant use them in the areas where they fequent. Besides the npc's can already be found in town. Not much use for a duplicate. No one will notice one unless it came up to them and slaped them in the face (emote).

well if you think they are so low, feel free to outbid Xo, white wasabi, tonini, teal dawn

I'm not selling my tonic, but if I were... yeah, it wouldn't be for 2000 ecto :P

It's hard to judge the worth, and I really have NO idea what the exact worth of any of them are. Whatever someone is willing to pay, I guess.

Each tonic on its own is unique, so while there are 40 in game, they're not 40 of the same thing... so yes, in terms of rarity they are far more rare than kanaxai (there's what like 20 something of those?), and more on par with the froggy minipet that Gaile has.

ETA: I could be wrong, but I believe the new Mad King Guard Minis are the rarest minis in the game at the moment in terms of how many actually exist?

On the other hand, some of them are better skins then other. Some of them are just armor players can already buy in the game (one of the GvG monk henchman). So... I assume the "cooler" looking ones will be worth more then the others.

They are rarer than Kanaxai but i doubt will be as expensive(no use for HoM).

Still the prices will be high because:

• can do emotes
• can be used in explorable areas
• unique disguise
• one tonic per henchmen

And I think also the price wont be the same for all - GvG Fire Henchman looks expensive:P

Im telling you it all comes down too...Kanaxai u can put in ur Hall of momuments and trade it away....while the tonic...well it just turns u into sumthing else that most people wont care about...but will instead flock around ur mini...

Its more between, Mini Mad King Guard V.S. Kanaxai. but anyways...there's only gonna be like 40 of those tonics. Unlike the monthly tonics, so they're gonna be high priced.

it's kinda difficult to compare highend minis to rare tonics seeing as the functions are completely different the henchmen tonics will be the most expensive tonics, but still pale in comparison to some uber rare minis. and then there is always the HoM difference

I think the tonic reward was intended to be more of a "personalized" reward to the winners in some way.
I certainly would not notice someone using one in a town unless they start yelling in local chat that they used the hench tonic, come look...
That is, if I happen to have local chat on for some weird reason...

meh. if someone walked up to me and said i could have a mini unded polar bear or a el henchie tonic i would take the mini. only like 2 henchies are cute. and the fire ele and the female rt rest are butt ugly. but if i have to guess price i think it would be like 2000e and up? dunno sorry.

I guess I never realized that the Henchmen tonics are each individualized and transform you into a different character model for each one, rather than turn you into one of the 40 at random.

If one of those 40 models is something that appeals to you at all, maybe that's good. Otherwise, the tonics are junk, only guaranteed to contain some decent level of value to those who chose the henchmen's skins in the first place.

These will never drop again. Each tonic is unique. Give it a couple of months and watch these power traders attempt to resell them for double. Sure these are only tonics. They will never reach Kanaxai value but they are indeed the "rarest" tonics around. If an EL Transmog... can fetch 1000e+ these tonics should be way up there. I see bid of 2000e+ and I'm thinking it's way too low. As long as these remain unique and 1 of a kind there is no reason to believe they have peaked in price already.

These will go high. It'll take time though. Just like Naga/Yeti/Polar bear etc

ye,if u w8 long enough u will start playing gw2....
its rare,but far from that someone will offer kanaxai or panda for one,atm just few k ectos,and i highly doubt that it will reach 'priceless' price area

Yeah I'd have to say my PC in other thread was optimistic.

2-3k ecto seems the max.

I'd agree with your first post Malice - the transmorgifier did not take that long to shoot up to 1000e and up - these could end up higher in time - but also think it depends on which henchie it is. Still a load of people with too many ectos that don't know what to spend them on and as it gets closer to GW2 the other side is that they won't care as much how they spend their money.
