Dhuum thing

/report is the equivalent to writing a nice letter to someone, it just ussually doesn't do anything.
Votekick would be nice. I don't know what some people are going on about, but I've never encountered a situation where I've been kicked for something in an online game that wasn't warranted a kick.
Especially if such a feature had guidelines (AFK for a certain amount of time).
for this particular problem though, yeah, teleporting would be nice

A boot feature like this would be a huge grief tool in the wrong hands (which is damn near 90% of the immature population)...
Typical Scenario: Monk fails to heal someone. The person dies. The person is called a noob and says "whatever, f--- you guys! Tell the monk l2Heal." Party Kicks players because of incompetent monk. AKA: No sankyuu; Do not want. ~LeNa~ |

There shuld be a cutscene. Thats a good idea!
Aba
Not signed.
For kick feature cause this community's maturity level is not high enough to handle it.
For Cutscene. No need, all team memebers should be there in first place.
Come on do we really need to make things so darn easy for PvE, its already easy as hell, do we need to make it even easier.
Not to mention Runners will be telling groups they can afk and pay at cutscene.
So no, leave my Uw alone:P:P

Kickvote worked just fine in Quake. I dont see how you can abuse this in full team pugs.

I don't agree with the tele/cutscene to Dhuum. sorry, we have a thread going about killing dhuum and there are WAY to many people out there that HAVEN'T beaten dhuum....so what we do is explain the bar that you get, explain what to do BEFORE going in to the Hall (yes the bar you get is on our thread but most will not study it or read it). If you are automatically teleported to the hall, the doors close, Dhuum starts his judgement, then you are screwed and people freak out and then I see a party wipe. So there goes 2 1/2 hours to 3 hours still wasted with no win.

This......
It should have been a AFK kick/vote feature if player X is AFKer for 7mins a vote option comes up to kick player X.....
Aba
Hi,
Im Aba....
Just a weee little question to the people asking for a kick feature for afk people
How the fudge you plan on letting the system know that a player has been afk for a certain amount of time.

I'd assume that something similar could be implemented in PvE too.

Personally though I think a cutscene is the least abusable(?) solution.

I vote that too in Pve
when 7 of the 8 members vote to kick the 8th member, he/she should be kicked an return to outpost. If he's afk for 10~20min No one will just kick one party member that is doing his job and continue with 7 |
I can see how that might be a problem in pvp arenas like RA, with synchers trying to kick non-sync teammates. to prevent this you could make the /kick option only available during a certain time window, eg. during the first 2 mins of the game, because if you kick someone at the last minute you might be missing a player the next game, and if you kick early in the game you greatly decrease your team's chances of winning... so the only reason why anyone would use the /kick feature would be to remove a leecher.
wouldnt work if the player is a bot, but yes i approve if it removes afk leechers.
The Drunkard
Simple solution: set a five minute timer from the start of Dhuum of when the first person enters. When the counter hits zero, people who aren't in dhuums area are automatically ported to the dias and Dhuum turns hostile.

Sorry but adding a vote kick will only be abused if you got a slacker in your group sorry but thats life will always be a leecher and report wont help you much imo unless its PvP.
/notsigned for vote kick as it turns out is really bad.

No it will not, you have never seen a vote system in a game is my guess. Voting someone of your team is not something you do like it was nothing. It means 1 person less, so you better be carefull with that vote. Also all other 7 or maybe even 11 people have to agree. It works better than you think in games.

I don't see how a kicking system would work like that anyway, could you all just vote to kick someone to preeven them getting a reward

Other games (DDO, for one) have an automatic disconnection system for inactive players.
Implementing such a thing in GW would be easier, since there's a clear distinction between outposts and istances. People could still be afk all day while in outposts if they want to.
Just implement so that it disconnects inactive players:
- when in istances AND
- when the party is made of more than one human
Also there goes afk dungeon/mission running. I don't think I'll ever miss it.
