We Farm Your [ECTOs] has come a long way in building up a nice reputation for ourselves in the overall GW community. We would like to recruit some active people, remaining active portions of inactive/dying guilds, or guilds themselves who are interested in contributing to our community and making it even better.
Guild Focus: Mostly High-End Activities, Such As Speed Clears, Balanced-Way, Title-Grinding, Farming, Zaishen Challenges, And The Occasional Bit Of PvP. Sizeable Guild Roster And Active: Much Of The Member-Base Logs In Daily. Chat Channels Are Always Busy. Active Guild Forums And Ventrilo Server: Discussions, Contests, And Scheduled Events. Friendly Community To Be A Part Of. Fun And Humorous. NOT "All Serious, All Of The Time". No Pressure To Be The Best. Come As You Are. Do What You Can. Learn As You Go. Everybody Matters Here. ALL ABOUT WE FARM YOUR [ECTOs] (IN DETAIL):
We Farm Your [ECTOs] is one of the more highly-reputable high-end PvE guilds in GW today. We are an elite farming community who specializes in high-end activities such as speed clears, non-speed clear team farming runs, balanced-way, title-grinding, and even a tiny bit of PvP here and there. We pride ourselves in keeping up-to-date with all of the latest and greatest farming and team builds, and even spend time working on our own variants. Collectively our members possess lots of experience and a vast knowledge of the game itself, so we are certainly up to the challenge of making prompt build adjustments to compensate for whatever skill balances or area changes happen through game updates. Likewise, we are able and always willing to put together a competent team build to help people get something accomplished for whatever character(s) they need.
Make no mistake, however, and think our only claim to fame is what we are able to accomplish in-game. Despite the play-style and focus, we are not "all serious, all the time" like a lot of other high-end PvE guilds out there. There is a real emphasis on the 'community' aspect here. We are friendly and open, maintaining a laid-back atmosphere sans drama or pressure, while at the same time balancing the need for capable, contributable people to keep the community strong and growing. Everybody's effort and time spent around here matters and is appreciated with the utmost respect. This guild isn't a product of just the efforts of the Guild Leader/Officers, but of the time EVERYONE who has worn our guild tag, past and present, has put into it. We Farm Your [ECTOs] is built from a core of people who have been playing GW together for years (and thus, have built up a tremendous bond). This isn't a guild that will completely fall apart or empty into nothing overnight. It's a stable environment with a roster that rarely sees changes for the worse.
Although We Farm Your [ECTOs] is pretty sizeable already, there is always room to make new friends, acquaintances, and people to shoot the breeze with over completely random things that have nothing to do with GW. Our member-base includes people of all ages and locations, and encompasses lots of various interests, not just in-game but out. There is rarely a dull moment to be found here. This isn't one of those guilds who have a dead atmosphere or one who claims to be something they're not. Around here there are people to play with for almost anything high-end imaginable, and there are also great friendship opportunities, which makes coming back day after day all the more worthwhile. Guild (and Alliance chat) is always active. Our ventrilo server is packed daily with people, and it's essential not only for in-game communication, but for having a good time and getting to know one another too. Our guild's forums are busier than most and have become a big part of the overall community experience. Miss out on ventrilo and/or our forums, miss out on doing nearly 100% of what we do together as a guild. Miss out on ventrilo and/or our forums, miss out on our in-jokes, off-the-wall discussions, and contests and activities designed to bring everyone closer together.
In some way, shape, or form, the core of this guild plans to move onto Guild Wars 2 together, so we're an ideal home for anyone who is looking to (eventually) go beyond what Guild Wars 1 has to offer.
WHO/WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
In addition to looking for individuals who may be interested in joining up with us, We Farm Your [ECTOs] is willing to accept a number of people from inactive/dying guilds into our roster all at once so long as the group as a whole is deemed acceptable by [ECTOs] recruiting standards. (ie. Read the [ECTOs] Member Requirements & Expectations section below.) Why stick with death and boring, inactive night after night when plenty of life and excitement is a mere conversation and invitation request away? This guild and overall community isn't just for you. It's for your friends too. If you are part of an inactive/dying guild and wish to discuss bringing several remaining active players into the [ECTOs] fold as a group, at once, you can PM an [ECTOs] Leader or Officer in-game or on our forums and we'll go from there. Alternatively, you can simply have everyone interested fill out guild applications on our forums and mention that you are all together, so a decision will be made on the group as a whole and not just on the strengths and weaknesses of any one individual application. Note that for group applications, a little bit of leeway may be given on various individual requirements so long as the group itself looks like a good fit for the guild overall.
After trying several high-end alliances over the years and realizing that most of them have strict rules or requirements (which don't often sit well with us for very long), we have decided it's better to stick it out on our own, in a self-made alliance that is anything but an 'alliance' in the strictest sense. There is plenty of additional room in our community for other active, contributable guilds who share our same vision and simply wish to be a part of something cooperative where they can have other guilds and lots of people outside of their own guild tag to intermingle with. No rules, no requirements, just a readiness and willingness to be active in our overall community. We are mainly interested in having lots of people around for fun and runs, not to direct your style of play. Guilds are encouraged to keep their own identity and contribute in whatever manner they are able to. We Farm Your [ECTOs] is currently allied with Peace With Quiet [Hush], a guild also with a good reputation who has built up a good name for themselves, and who more or less has the same interests as we do and even shares our forums and ventrilo server. We've become great friends over the course of our alliance together. If you are part of an active guild who wishes for said guild to join up and be a part of our community, and likewise feel said guild has something to offer our community as a whole, you can PM an [ECTOs] Leader or Officer in-game or on our forums.
[ECTOs] MEMBER REQUIREMENTS AND EXPECTATIONS:
This guild has an age requirement of 16 or higher. Most importantly, a decent level of maturity that accompanies that age. You must be active with Guild Wars and able/willing to play often. We ask that you give a heads up if you are leaving for any length of time. Inactive members are pruned after three weeks. A working microphone and Ventrilo are REQUIRED to join, and you are urged to use them regularly. Every guild member must register for an account on our guild forums. Guild updates, feedback, contests, and other off-topic things that you won't find in-game make it worth your while to check the forums regularly. Several well-developed characters who are at high-end level, game-wise, are required. Your characters must have advancement through most/all of the campaigns, a good assortment of skills for the builds we use and more (regular and PvE skills), all necessary outposts reachable, and knowledge of the areas in general. While being a member of this guild, respect should be given not only to other guild members and the alliance, but also to outsiders and PUGs. We are not a guild that tolerates rage-quitting, ripoff artists, whining, bragging, or any other type of behavior that will disrupt our laid-back atmosphere and the good standing we wish to keep within the Guild Wars community. This is by no means a PG-13 guild, although we do expect everyone to have a knowingness for those situations when more mature behavior is expected. Our humor can be rude and crude at times, but it's all in fun. As a forewarning, if you can't stomach that sort of atmosphere, this guild may not be a good fit. We urge all members to participate and contribute to making this guild an enjoyable place for everyone involved (through vent, guild chat, guild forums, offering help/assistance, giving feedback, etc.).
