So I went farming lately.

I haven't played Guild Wars in roughly a year and a half, decided to get back into it and went out farming a few places I could remember. First, did about 100-150 Hydra's in hardmode with 55 monk, went fine. Sold some mini's and did about 100 insects outside Arjok.

The thing I noticed is, even in hardmode one man party I earned basically nothing in the way of loot. No golds, one purple.

What the hell?!?!

Has there been major nerfs to drop rates since I've been gone? Or what is/has been going on?

meaning yes drop rates have had the hell nerfed out of them sorry but cant earn money as easily anymore

If you want a kills per hour farm style, raptors outside or Rata Sum are super easy and an effective farm.
The real money is in either running dungeons, or the various speed clears.
Of course power trading is always the best but a horrible option for 9 out of 10 people.

ummm... kdz, loot scaling affects a party, not a solo farmer. The OP is referring to gold items (rare, not affected by loot-scaling).

To answer your question, OP, some runs are good, some runs not so good. It's just how the drop table is set when you enter the zone. I've had runs with 8-10 golds, and runs with none, using the same character, same build, in the same zone. Just how the cookie crumbles sometimes.

So there hasn't been a significant drop nerf lately that I don't know about?

Aside from dead swords (destroy the ungrateful slaves quest) and zodiacs (vampire nerf), I don't think anet's touched the drop rate.
