Unidentified Gold

What exactly is involved with "buying" unidentified gold items?

Part of me assumes that you are expected to give the item back.

Wisdom title. Most are non-max crap.

Most IS junk, and people buy for the purpose stated above. However, I have been able to negotiate with a few unid gold sellers to find a few items that I want. And occationally you will find a nice mod...or at least I have.

well you can buy unids from a seller, 7 for between 3.5-4.5k is a decent price. For this amount, you keep the items you identify.

some people will offer you a trade-back system, 7 for 2k, where you simply pay for the ID point, and trade it back. this is rarer, but is offered by a few people in the services section here on guru.

Well if you just buy unid goldies and sell them to merch the will give you 1.8k most of the time if you buy max dmg items. So pay 2k and give items back will still give him 3.8k most of the time and if you buy them for 4k for 7 it will still give you 1.8k so only cost you 2.2k then. So there isnt a real different.

you just buy the item for more than it's worth at the merchant so that you can identify it for the title. few people do just charge for the id only and want the items back. can cost u between 2-7mil for an entire title >_<

plus the seller gets whatever mods so on average its another few k added in.

People buy them for the wisdom title.
You can safely assume that you will never get anything good from UNID items, as intelligent sellers will test them on the practice dummies and remove any good mods.
