O.k. I've established which games I want to buy. But I still have a few questions.

I"m currently using a trial account. When I buy the two games ... can I use my trial character. I am only level 4 ... lol. But I don't want to start again.

Can you buy other armor on a trial account? If so where?

If I register on the two games is it added to a map/merge. Or do I load one game in at a time if I want to change over from prophecies to nightfall.

Can you change the color of your characters eyes? I don't see this on a trial account, so I wonder if you can on a paid version.

Hail and Thanks all.

You can add Prophecies and Nightfall to your trial account, which will allow you to continue playing any characters on the trial. In the character select screen, after log in, there is a button labeled "edit account." Click it and choose "Manage Access Keys," and click the next button. You will then be able to add Prophecies and Nightfall to the account. There is also a link to add access keys or create an account on the log in screen.

Note that it is possible to create separate accounts with Prophecies and Nightfall.

If you want to play both on the same account, you must add the keys to an existing account rather than create a new account.

Your characters will be able to travel freely between Nightfall and Prophecies once they complete the quest required to do so. The quests are listed here and here. After a character has completed the required quest, they may travel freely between the campaigns by clicking the boat icon on the world map.

I've never played a trial account; I don't know what the armor or character creation limitations are, if any.

I believe eye color is fixed to one color per face type, but I am uncertain. I never cared.

Yes. Add the keys from Prophecies and Nightfall to your trial account (as MisterB says above). Your account will then become a full account (so to speak). There is no need to "install" Prophecies or Nightfall - your account should already have much of the content downloaded. But if you want to avoid having to download content as you go, you can use the "-image" command line switch do download everything. (Search these forums for how-to or - http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/-image#-image )

From the sound of things, it seems that you are probably in Pre-Searing (the very beginning, tutorial area of Prophecies). There are no armor crafters in pre-searing, (trial or not) but you will be able to buy better armor in Ascalon City once you go though the academy and leave pre-searing.

If you add both keys to your trial account, Prophecies and Nightfall will be like one big game. When you get far enough into either campaign, you can do a simple quest to gain access to the other, as Mr.B says above.

It has recently become possible to change your character's look by buying makeover credits from the on-line store, but I don't think you can ever change the color of your character's eyes, without changing the whole face.

Thank you all for your help. Much appreciated. My ultimate goal is to level up my character before selecting guilds ... enrolling my pre existing clan into this game. For now ... I need to learn as much as possible regarding this game before I merge the two games together .... through the clan. Which I'm hoping to make/turn global (multiple gaming clan).

Hail and thanks

Just check around to various online vendors before paying full price at the ncsoft store. Newegg.com tends to have good deals, like the Prophecies/EotN platinum for 9.99 shipped. If you want more campaigns the best deal currently is probably also at newegg, 36.99 shipped for the trilogy.

If you prefer brick and mortar check your local Target, a lot of them have had all Guild Wars versions on clearance recently.

I got this from "GuildWars" Site. What do they mean by "Original" ... do they mean "Prophecies"? as well as Nightfall and Eye of the north. I am so liking this deal right now)

We only have Eye of the North in our country. But this deal has taken a strong interest with me.

Original in this case would mean Prophecies (not that it wouldn't in any other case). It is probably listed like that because on the box it doesn't say 'Guild Wars Prophecies', just 'Guild Wars'. The name Prophecies was given later on to differentiate it from Factions, but it still doesn't say Prophecies on the box.

Not sure exactly what you mean here, but you do want to add all the keys to only one account. If you make separate accounts, you can't "merge" them later.
But, if you buy the Trilogy, there will only be one access key anyway (plus 1 for EotN) - just be sure to add all keys to your existing trial account if you want to access all the content with the same character.
