I don't know what needs that much, but all the parts are top notch. I dislike ASUS, however, but thats personal.

1 matched set (whichever plays better with one-another) for OC'ing/testing and burning up, the other for back-up. when, and If I hit that sweet spot, 4gb will be more than enough for my needs. the other 4 is on standby. once the kit is useless, it's RMA time. The only thing is, buying it in a kit like that will result in some downtime as for most RMAs all of the sticks must be sent back, not just the bunk ones. I do have some loose ddr3 floating around here somewhere, so no biggie.

I might just go with this MOBO instead. Although I doubt I'd ever go TRI-GFX. if I were to do so, it would be to chase the numbers, nothing more.

all the parts are good - nothing to quibble about with any of them Personally I wouldn't spend that much, since you could likely get as good of a "Real World" performance with cheaper parts, but at the same time it is nice indeed to crank out the best benchmarks too. It's your money and as for quality of parts I don't think you'll get much better at any price range.

I`ll second that. I had trouble with their k400 chipset and with p58 chipset mobo that was expensive as hell (cant remember exact model, but it had black colour and was promtly switched for Gigabyte model that is still working perfectly). But some other people i know are praising Asus. It`s the same with everything that is "made in China", probably. Lucky or not. Damn.

was looking at the Deluxe after hitting up tweaktown. (reading the manual now lol)

Used the AC 7 pro cooler for 12+ builds now, including my own build. time for a change. ;-p (although I opted to use a different mount solution with the older version of the AC 7 Pro) The new mounting system looks meh...but it is still prolly better than the push-pins.

as far as I can gather all mobos have 3 year warranties...was wanting that lifetime.

At those prices you're not saving any money over an X58/i7 920 system, especially if you have a Microcenter near you.

The bang-for-buck cooler right now is the Cogage TRUE Spirit. Noctua's new NH-D14 looks to be the new performance champion in low-airflow/low-noise cooling; preliminary reviews have it beating the Megahalems and TRUE by a degree or more depending on fan configuration. Noctua's heatsinks are pretty expensive, but they come with premium fans (which generally retail for >20 USD) and a syringe of one of the best thermal compounds in existence; they also have one of the best mounting systems.

For cases, you generally want a lot of room to work in and low-restriction airflow. I'd wait for serious reviews on the cooling performance of that Level 10 before pulling out your credit card. If you're looking to splurge on a case, I'd look at something like the HAF932, ATCS 840, any of the Lian-Li full towers (Armorsuit, A70/71F, X-1000, etc.), or Fortress/Raven 02. The Antec P182/183 is still hard to beat if you want low noise.

Yeah, I built a high powered gaming rig for a client using the P183, and even with 2 GTX 275s in SLI, a Phenom II 945 Quad Core OCed and 6 120mm fans on high it was still pretty quiet. Good airflow too, even OCed moderately the CPU stayed steady at 42 Celsius (load). Which was pretty good without spending big bucks on a cooler.

been watching, looking and waiting. even if I had the shekels to burn, I'd not waste it on that. I'd install a desktop in a car before I did. Now if I were at a show, and found one for a sweet deal...well, you know how cash talks, B.S. walks. -minor nicks, dents, dings etc.etc.etc. don't bother me much unless it's supposed to be spankin' brand new.

having access to a full machine shop, I can fabricate one for not even a quarter of the cost (only thing it will cost me is TIME). All I need to do is get a good up-close look-see(mostly for the electronics).
