I bought one from a friend several weeks ago for 50k. He had a 20% demonslaying axe grip; I wanted one; we trusted the price we saw on a guide here. I wasn't involved in a bid war over it, and as far as I know, he wasn't actively trying to sell it. Since then, I've been buying a lot of slaying mods.
Most slaying mods don't seem to have much practical use and are valuable only as collector items. A general price of 1-2k, sometimes as high as 5k, for most of them has seemed to work well as I've been shopping around gathering up at least one of each for my own colleciton.
Sword and axe mods that boost damage vs. Demons and Tengu are supposed to fetch higher prices because they're useful to "manlyway" DoA farmers and Warrior feather farmers. I saw quotes of 50-100k for demonslaying sword pommels and less but still significant prices for demonslaying axe grips. I also saw someone with a 20% Demonslaying Sword pommel spend a few days trying to sell it an not getting any offers at all, not even 10k.
How much folks buy or sell their critter-pwning mods for is, in the end, up to them. But the high-paying market for the martial weapon Demon and Tengu mods is not always so easy to find. I'm reluctant to offer PC answers like the above without warning the requester that it can and has taken quite a long time to find buyers at those prices.
Those are my observations/findings. I've no idea what the average price or time invested in selling is throughout the entire game, but to me, it doesn't seem anywhere near easy to fetch those prices regularly.
Cheers & GL to you!
