Hi,
I played Guild Wars a year ago and now I want to start again
I began playing GW on the Nightfall campaign and recently I bought the Complete Edition box with all stand-alone and Eye of the North.
I'm more the PvE player and I have a question about it.
I'm wondering since a long time, can your characters travel between the different campaigns?
To specify, I'll give an example:
My first character (a lv 20 Warrior) was created in Nightfall. I'm certainly not done with this campaign, but is it possible that I can do the Prophecies or Factions campaign with him? Or do I have to create a new character for those campaigns?
What I mean is; are characters bound to a specific continent?
Then the second part of my question: IF we are able to do all campaigns with one character, is it possible to go with a Dervish or Paragon to Cantha, or with an Assassin or Ritualist to Tyra?
Thanks in advance
Question about 'travelling' between continents

Yes they can. Not all the quests will be available for them but all the missions yes. For a specific quests which lead from one campaign to another they are available in LA for prophecies in Kamadan for Nightfall and Kaineng for Factions.

The above poster is entirely correct, but I want to address this specifically...
Yes. Characters with a campaign-specific profession can only be created within that campaign, but once they're created, they can move freely like any other character. You would just need to do the transition quest, and then you could proceed with the next campaign.
In your character list, the character's campaign will always be listed as their original one. For example, my Ranger is listed as a Prophecies character-- but she's completed both Prophecies and Nightfall (as well as EotN,) and now working on Factions. Don't expect that to change after the transition quest; it won't, so the fact it didn't doesn't mean anything is wrong or you won't be able to finish the new campaign.
You shouldn't have any trouble. Best of luck.

This. I was helping a guildie a few days ago. He wanted to go to Factions with his Dervish. He had done all prerequisites, but the quest to travel to Factions just wasn't available at the quest-giver. After a good while we asked him if he had Factions. He really did. So we were stumped. We tried everything, going to Mhenlo at the Consulate Docks etc. Finally, we gave up. Later he asked me how adding eotn to his account worked. I explained that he could add the key at the character select screen. Then he said: "on which e-mail address?" Turned out he had 2 separate accounts. 1 with Factions only, 1 with Nightfall only.....
