armour question

i have a warrior/ranger, i use mixed build w/r/and animal
i have a lot of upgrades on my armour but its mostly energy upgrades, is there a good mix of energy/health or damage upgrades around or should i have 2 sets of armor 1 purely for health and so on for my warrior and another with more energy for my ranger?

Well... If it's for PvE then health really isn't such a big issue if you're new to GW since you're just getting started out. For argument's sake I will recommend for your pet build that you run a zealous (+1 energy gain upon hit) mod for your weapon to help with energy management and run full survivor insignias.
Later down the line when you've become a bit more seasoned I'd recommend you full sentinels insignias since you should be using a "normal" warrior bar by the time you've become more experienced at Guild Wars.

do u have both a warrior and a ranger, or a Warrior/ second prof ranger?

ive been on there a while and done fine, just getting into more of the game as ive always used energy upgrades so i could use more skills so now im just looking at maybe getting health and or damage deduction stuff to tank. and also playing around with new builds i have found some i like that arent to energy hungry so was looking at the other options.
and it is ranger as 2nd prof.i enjoy the ranged attacks as well as getting in the middle of it all and having a pet is great lol

If you enjoy ranged attacks, then I suggest you make a ranger. As rangers are better at it cause they are rangers, and their primary attribute supports that.
Always remember that your secondary profession should support your primary profession. If you want to play as your secondary profession, then your better off having it as your primary profession.
As for armor uppgrades, don't worry about them, I played through all 4 campaigns without using a single one (now I'm lying, cause you get one for free in NF that I used). But really, focus on making a good skillbar and buying better armor once you are able to. And remember to let your secondary profession support, and just support, your primary profession.

i find the pet does support well and also some of the preparation ranger skills.
i play as both and at the minute really dont fancy making a new character. and the only upgrades ive used are salvaged ones, im only now looking into buying them.
my char is lvl 20 with full kurzik full armour. i am alos playing through all 4 campeigns at once so just seeing what else could help me

Preparations only work on bow attacks. Anyway, I'd pick one weapon type and stick to that. In the case of Warrior/Ranger, I'd go for a melee weapon and keep only the pet and 1 pet attack from the Ranger side. Many of your Warrior skills should cost Adrenaline instead of Energy, so you won't need many +Energy mods anymore, freeing up room for +health or +armor.

poison preparations work on melee weapons too ive found.
and thats mostly what i do is just have the charm and a pet heal with my skills.
and i use both so its not just the same thing all the time.

Ah, yes, Apply Poison works on melee. I just don't like it very much on melee. You can't spread it around as easily as with a bow (unless you're using an AoE attack) and it costs quite a lot of energy.

im in the uw now and i find it works great down there with most of the lvl 28 foes and helps clear quicker. ill look through all my skills again and see what adrenalin ones i have as i have none on the skill bar at the min. still playing round with all my build tho and wanted armor/health as i dont use many stances.

well, it's all sorta dependant on what u are doing and what ur preferences are... there is no single correct answer

Dunno if this is here or there but I found the +5 armour for amount of minions was far worse than the +5 depending on how much health (Undertaker), best bet is try a few out. I even gave MoW the +10 while holding an item (cos he's always holding) but again Undertaker was better.
Best bet is try a few, some people will say one thing, others another, how do you find out you don't like marmite? Eat some

w/r isn't the worst beginning build though for a person. I'd concentrate at least 5-6 skills as pure warrior skills and have your charm and heal animal if you deam it necessary and maybe one other ranger skill. Maybe a stance or a speed boost of some sorts to you and your pets attacking speeds.
Give him credit though guys least he's not W/M

ive only got animal comfort now with my warrior skills and im caputuring elite skills with my signets and most of them are adrenalin so i got no problems there.

This question should be in the Campfire section Warrior subforum. You can ask a mod to move it.
I also use Radiant insignia on my warrior with a mixed energy/adrenaline Defy Pain build and have no problems tanking. My weapons and shields have +30 Fortitude mods. One of my axes also has a Furious mod to increase my adrenaline gain. I started out the game using a pet, but this doesn't work well in Hard Mode, where I have switched to using Pain Inverter and additional PvE-only skills for more damage.
