It doesn't work that way. The "signal" between you and GW goes through many, many servers (routers), and the servers it goes through to get to GW are not necessarily the same ones it goes through to get anywhere else. Just because you can still connect to YouTube (for example), does not mean you can connect to everything else.
Think of it like a big city. Sure, you can get in your car and drive to the mall and the multiplex, but there's a stalled car on the bridge to the ballpark, so you can't get there (or it takes a long time). |
