Ok, my girlfriend and I have decided to come back to this game after about a year hiatus. I have looked around and see that SF is nerfed and that R/Rt is one of the new (well... not really new, but popular) ways to farm the UW.
Well, when she's on we like to play together, so I was wondering a way to modify one of the bars so that we are more effective.
One running: http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:Any/Rt_Spirit_Farmer w/ Painful Bond as the optional slot
I'm not really sure what to put on my bar (I am much more happy to get a bunch of skills than her lol, she likes hoarding gold, not spending on skills) or even if I should... Would 2 of these in the UW work just fine? Or should I even modify my bar?

Well you can't have the same spirits up at the same time.
I have done a duo with spike trap, dust trap, earthbind, dissonance, and any pve skills i find work the best. Finish Him or YMLaD something like that, and summon spirits if your earthbind is too weak.
Hope that helps.

Beat me to it. Maybe divide up skills like below?
Channeling Spammer:Signet of Spirits, Bloodsong, Vampirism, Agony, Armor of Unfeeling, Spiritleech Aura, Painful Bond, Optional
Communing Spammer:Wanderlust, Pain, Anguish, Shadowsong, Disenchantment, Armor, Spiritleech Aura, Painful Bond

That bar can solo much of the UW, takes time and patience though, but its basically what I use on my Rit primary.
A good set of skills to bring along might revolve around defensive spirits, or perhaps run a pure Channeling build with Destruction. Weapon of Quickening would be a good elite for a backup build, and bringing Anguish, or a Wanderlust/Earthbind build could be great too.
Basically, the SoS Spirit Rit could do much of it solo, so you'd want to bring utility, perhaps direct damage, or regen and rez. Rupture Soul could be a could skill to bring, along with Destruction, or even Gaze of Fury to get an additional attack spirit.

Ok awesome, I wasn't sure if you could have the same spirits up by 2 different people. I guess I need to look at some other spirits to put up, I want to be more or less offensive (as SoS is).
A rez would be nice as well I suppose
Can two Painful Bond's be used on the same creature?

One of you guys can change to R/Mo.
Cap Barrage or IA and use splinter weapon in the rit's optional slot (or drop a spirit... pain maybe?). Second ranger runs Barrage/IA with spirit spammer casting splinter on the R/Mo. Bring heals, hex removal (holy veil works great) whatever else you want.
I currently run a Rit/any with similar build (no nightfall or EOTN skills), and a buddy runs a Mo/R (!!! not efficient but too lazy to level another character). We usually clear chamber + chaos plains NM in 2 hours (don't know if this is good or bad, but we're pretty happy with it) and the build is also capable of doing smites pretty fast, but we're usually too lazy to run back over.
Spirit survivability in plains is usually a problem for me since I don't have spiritleech aura, but I do run 16 chan/15 com/4 spawning power, so you may have the same problem also. Just requires decent spirit placement--first group of mindblades will be the most problematic) We found that IA does better than barrage in the beginning (ie, graspings/behemoths, the non-ecto droppers), and does decently well at plains.
Just an idea.
EDIT: Two painful bonds can't be used on the same guy, and painful bond is AOE anyways. Painful loses its usefulness against smites and mindblades: smites have smite hex, which destroys spirits pretty fast, and mindblades have hexbreaker, which is also a pain.

Thanks for the help guys, I am trying to remember all the mechanics of this game again.
I made a 2 builds (went the 1 channel, 1 commune route), and then did some searching to find this: http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:Team_-_Dual_Spiritspam
That's more of less what mine looks like, but I am also going to swap out the SoGM for Wanderlust and put Earthbind on the optional slot and try that out to see which works better.
Will try out tonight after snowboarding
