Hello people.

I'm starting playing Guild Wars, then i bought the $50 kit (with prophecies, factions, nightfall and eye of the north).

I have a few questions. Hope you can help me.

1) When i create a character, only prophecies, factions and nightfall are available to choose. Eye of the north isn't a campaing? How do i have access to its items, maps etc?

2) If a create a character in prophecies, how can i have access to the maps, skills and items of the others campaigns?

3) If i create a character in nightfall, can i have access to the prophecies and factions missions? How?

4) In this link (http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Level), say that the maximum level of GW is 20 but it can be expansible to 33. Can you explain this to me? I didn't understand this, how can i upgrade my level after be a lvl 20?

5) How can i have access to single PVP's and Guild wars, tournaments etc? Where i have to go?

Sorry my english isn't the best, my i think its compreensible.

=)

Once you get to level 10 and in one of the major port towns, Lions Arch, Kamadam, Jewel of Istan and Kaineng Center you can get access to any of the campaigns by doing simple quests. Keep in mind that traveling to Nightfall is hard.

Once you get off the island and attack Varesh the quests will open up. I won't say more because I'm not spoiling the story. Just got to Consulate Docks and accept the quests.

I don't know where you read that, 20 is max. The only things in the game that reach level 33 are 2 high end bosses in Hard Mode. One is Shiro and the other is Mallyx.
Once you hit level 20 your out of the tutorial, going past level 20 it is impossible for a player.

Once you reach level 20 and have access to Lions Arch, Kamadam, Jewel of Istan or Kaineng Center simply click on the boat and travel to The Great Temple of Balthazar or create a PvP character slot. Remember you only need 1 PvP character because it is very easy to switch professions by deleting it and creating another.

Eye of the North is not a campaign, it is an expansion. You will be able to travel to EotN once your character reaches as certain point in the campaign where you created it.

You will be able to travel to EotN and the other campaigns once you have reached the main port outpost in the character's home campaign. If it is a Prophecies character, you will be able to travel to EotN, Factions, and Nightfall once you reach the port city of Lion's Arch. Factions characters must get to Kaineng City. Nightfall characters must get to the Consulate Docks.

You can't upgrade after level 20. As the wiki page explains, NPCs (Non Player Characters) can level up to 33. However, this only applies to enemies. Your heroes and henchmen can't level above 20 either, though they are also considered NPCs. Once you've reached level 20, you will commonly be dealing with foes that are above your level, and all foes in Hard Mode are above level 20.

If I'm understanding you correctly, yes you will be able to fight characters from across different campaigns in pvp. Any Character once they're lvl 20 can fight people from across campaigns, everyone goes to these same places to fight.

Well, EOTN isn't a campaign, its an expansion, it expands the endgame.

There is a port city on every continent that you can take quests in to access other continents. A message will appear upon entry.

Yes, you can. Simply do the quest to access the continent then follow the story or backtrack.

I believe this is referring to the highest level thing in the game is lvl 33? I dunno about that.

There are arenas in the beginning areas up until the main city of each continent, then there are the PVP isles or certain outposts in factions. These are best to do at lvl 20.

Your english is better than my French. Compared to most English speaking persons on the Internet, you speak better English.

EotN is a "expansion" - you basically need to start in one of the campaigns before you can "expand" into EotN. (see next answer)

You would need to actually go to the other areas to get those things. Once you get to a certain point in the campaigns, you can gain access to other campaigns and EotN. If I recall, you would need to get to Lion's Arch (Prophecies), Consulate Docks (Nightfall) or Kaineng Center (Factions). There you would get some simple quests to take you to other places. Once you've done those quests and have gained access, the other campaigns can be accessed by using the "boat" that appears on the map (in the ocean). EotN also has direct portals once it's unlocked.

as above

The levels past 20 refer to the NPC/bosses/foes you'll be fighting. Your character can never go beyond level 20, but the things you fight can.

Just a tip: in Prophecies, there are quests that give you skills as a reward. You won't find these (generally speaking, that is, there might be a couple of exceptions) in Nightfall and Factions, so you'll have to buy the Factions/NF skills.

Quote:
3) If i create a character in nightfall, can i have access to the prophecies and factions missions? How?
As mentioned, there are quests that give you access to the appropriate continent once you're in the correct area (Lion's Arch for Tyria, Kaineng City for Cantha, Consulate Docks for Elona). You might want to note that this means that any character that you cross over to another continent will be joining the plot timeline in that continent sometime later than a character starting from that campaign would. For example, bringing a character over to Cantha from Tyria means that your character will turn up at Kaineng City, skipping past the two missions on Shing Jea Island that a Factions-born character would have to do in order to get to Kaineng.

You can still access these, but you'll have to run to those areas yourself, or find someone to help you. There won't be any quests that show you how to go backwards.
