Mallyx NM/HM

Quick question

When fighting Mallyx, is there any difference between rewards from either the Mallyx chest or the snake on normal mode/ hard mode?

Unsure wiki doesn't mention any difference.

There's a mentality that if it's difficult it will be rewarding, so I'd assume the drops in HM will make a difference.

The quest reward is no different.

In HM, you receive an additional green from the chest.

So all in all, I don't think it's worth completely Mallyx in HM outside of the fact that you can say you did it

In Hard Mode the only thing that changes are what monsters drop, not what you get out of the chest nor the end quest reward. It's like farming raptors in NM or HM on a special drops weekend, no difference of the special drops. Mallyx is pretty easy to kill but if you're in a pug good luck in Hard Mode.

Half right. You get double chest drops, but the quest reward stays the same.

Considering that every mallyx green is worth <5k, it's hardly worth it.
