I am currently working toward putting together a 600Rit/Smiter build for myself, and just had a question or two about finalizing the build.

I just wanted to clarify that I'm on the right track with the attributes of the above mentioned build.

For the 600Rit it calls for:
Protection prayers 12
Restoration Prayers 12+1+3
Spawning Power 3

And then for the Smiter:
Blood Magic 3
Smiting Prayers 12+3
Divine Favor 12+1+3

Am I correct in thinking that the "+3" in those attribute equations come from Superior Runes of those attributes?

If so, I can only assume the "+1" comes from the head gear (or an item of armor with a +1 attribute rating)? If that is the case, how do i get the "+1" in Divine Favor for my hero smiter? The head gear only says "+1 of Item Attribute". What exactly does that mean?

Also, the build says I want to have my total health be at least 432 before Vital Blessing. Casting Vital Blessing boosts my total HP to 600. No harm in having it be over 600 is there?

I have all of my other armor on the Rit maxed with Radiant and Attunment Runes to lift my energy. Do I need to do anything for the Smiter hero? If indeed the above mentioned "+3" does come from Superior Runes, that means my hero is down 150hp. Would it do me any good to load the rest of their armor up with runes or insignias?

thanks in advance!

Your going to need Spell Breaker if your going to 600. You can put the spell on the smiter.

I'm using the build on PvX. They seem to say that i just need health up to 432, and Vital Blessing will help reach the 600. (http://pvx.wikia.com/wiki/Build:Team_-_600_Rit/Smite)

Spell Breaker is a part of the setup though.

It means that the +1 will become whatever rune is in the headgear.

If you want +1 divine favor on your hero smiter, add the sup. div favor rune to his headgear. If you were to want +1 smiting prayers, you'd the sup. smite rune in the headgear.

Yes and No.

Pros of High health: More HP buys you time if you fudge up a cast chain and leave reyourself unprotected. Although it really adds up to a second or less of staying alive, sometime's it's just enough to cast the skill you need.

Cons of High Health: Prot. Spirit limits the damage that's done to a higher number. This is bad because spirit boond can only outheal so much damage, so any extra damage you take over 60 is bad. Also, for much the same reason, it'll take a few extra hits for Shield of Absorption to drop all damage to 0.

I'm a big advocate of runing all heroes up to their max. It will be a good idea to give them the best health runes you can afford. As a rit, you'll be in the unfortunately position where your hero will have to cast Spellbreaker on you as you can't use it yourself, which means they'll have to run into danger. With that little health it'll be very likely that enemies may switch targets from you to them.

Also, in areas with reversal of damage skills, the smiter will be taking all the redirected damage, it'll only take 2 or 3 hits for a 150hp hero to die.

You're exactly right about the "+3" and "+1" for the attributes. The "item's attribute" thing just means that your hero gets an additional +1 for whatever rune is on its headpiece. In this case just put a superior divine favor rune on your hero's headpiece and you'll be set.

There is definitely no harm in having over 600hp , and is actually recommended for more damage. You could face problems if your health is over ~900, but that is an extremely rare situation. Don't worry too much about getting your hp to or above 600 though, higher hp simply makes you able to kill things faster.

Do not worry about your hero's health or energy, because their job is just to maintain enchantments and stay out of aggro range. ~30 energy and at least 1 hp is fine for your smiter.
I hope I answered all your questions clearly, and good luck farming!

I wouldn't be too concerned with health above 600. My Monk runs a 600 build with a Superior Protection rune (even though most say to stick to minors) and I still manage to get 700-800 health based on morale boosts (in dungeons and/or boss kills) and the build. Never had a problem staying alive. Rest was answered very well, so I wont' repeat it

Thank you to everyone who was able to post. It all seems to make sense now. All that's left is starting to try out the build and get use to it. From what I've heard, pratice REALLY does make perfect with a build like this.

On a side now, without Vital Blessing, my health is still around 530, so Vital Blessing gives a good boost and puts me very near 700hp. From what everyone said, looks like that should be enough.

Thanks again!
