Not sure if this is allowed, but i havent played guild wars for ages and figure that the mods are unlikely to be anal to an old vet as we have to stick together

Just wondering if the old 55hp Monk still works for anywhere?

Im guessing theres no way to farm the UW proph alone anymore, or if theres anywhere worth farming in proph anymore :P haha

I've just ordered the GW complete pack off ebuyer and it'll be coming in a weeks time, just wondering if theres anywhere i can do in the meantime, i remember the UW / FoW being fun.

Anyway, thanks for the replies

1) Don't know about that specific build, but 55 does still work, though it isn't used nearly as much as it used to be. Now it's mostly Shadow Form Assassins and 600/Smite teams.

2) UW can be soloed in HM using spirits (it's best used with R/Rt or Rt/R), theres a fairly large thread about it on the first/second page, it shouldn't be hard to find. There are other builds out there, but that tends to do really well. Also, speed clears are popular, there are 2 builds for that on the first page.

55 monks are still used these days. However since it has 13+ weaknesses it isn't too good. Most people that have monks, go 600.

55 monks are good for special groups that does not have those weaknesses.

The best place to 55 lately is Gates of Kryta Hard Mode. If you are using the Shield of Absorption variant, you can take out the hordes of units that spawn in the "secret area" as well as finish the mission, including the bonus if you are running people (easy extra money).

You can get a good amount of dust and gold items this way. Not anything of super high value, but lots of Decayed Orr Emblems as well which are holiday collectable items, as well as Glittering Dust (typically 150-250 per run). There are also a handful of bosses running around, so there is the possibility for Elite Tomes.

Alternatively, 55's can easily farm many collectable drops for Nicholas. Prophecies drops are generally the easiest. For areas in which you need Spell Breaker, Radiation Ward works well for damage.
