Someone needs to introduce them to what the word "micro" means...

Still, at least we get to use our festival headpieces without penalty now, and them working on the costume wankery means Shadow Form survives a little longer.

didnt this:

'Holiday quests in Lion's Arch, Kamadan, and the Eye of the North! Certain quest chains returning from previous years involve beloved (and rare) holiday-themed animals.'

pretty much confirm the return of the polar bear.

So now we're well over 3 months since the last skill update... all so they could add costumes?

I really hope they dont wonder why people left or the remaining community constantly b**ches.

EDIT:
And it takes them years to finally fix yellow snow to make it par with avalanche, Im beginning to think they really just have a dartboard in the office, and whatever it lands on is what they do to the game.

Useless updates on snowball skills that does absolutely nothing to address the issues at all.
The rest is probably cool, but why can't the just listen to smarter people and waste less time fixing problems once in a while than wasting precious time on doing nothing at all.

lol, the smarter people probably told them that companies need money to operate and that to make money they would have to sell stuff...like the costumes.

God forbid they might try to sell copies of the game itself.

I'm sure Anet would love for people to buy more copies and I'm sure they are selling them. But Guild Wars is getting a bit old and you can only sell so many copies of one game. Yeah, they could keep adding new content to GW1 to keep people buying copies...but they would probably like to put that effort into GW2.

With what? Any new content costs significant money, at least any new content that would warrant a full purchase. It simply is at the end of it's cycle. Every developer wants to sell more copies of their game, it may not be economically feasible.

Yeah, I was wondering why you can't wear hats or costumes in PVP. I don't really play PVP very much, but is there some reason why those things would be bad there?

Presumably because it makes it impossible to ID what class someone is by sight.

Except for where every class has a different stance and animations... I got used to that long ago, it was easier than memorizing each new armor set.

So yeah...now my game crashes every time I try to load an equipment template, despite how that didn't happen about an hour before the update. Is that just me?

Finally! Great update

I might actually log on during Wintersday.

Not sure if I'm getting the costumes yet, though. The price seems a bit on the high side, but I'll think it over.

Being able to wear festival hats without needing PS or taking 300 damage is win.

Guess we're not going to see a skill update til next year though...

Oh, I don't know about that. Progress was made on the Grenth/Dwayna imbalance, although the cripple duration is still too long on Avalanche. Necros got absolutely annihilated, and they were pretty key last year. Icicles is still attractive, but you'll feel that nerf.

I agree that most of the class-related buffs are worthless.

I want the costumes. And I want to see what new ones they'll add.

Also, being able to wear festival hats and still have an armored head = win.

/sigh, is it my imagination or is every new 'content' update now accompanied by a money gouging exercise. A-Net really needs to work out that MICRO transactions is SUPPOSED to mean SMALL payments.. and not $10+ (£6) a pop.

What
No skill balance? And no skill balance this month?
Holy cow, that's pathetic by every definition of this word.
Oh well, might as well go back to the game that gets meaningful updates.

No skill balance again :/ what's taking so long?

At least here comes a much needed skill balance that will matter for the coming 2 weeks, great job and epic win, snowball ats will be pure awesomesauce now with this balance.

So many buffs there in the class specific skills, even ones that were really good and useful. But with all those buffs Icicles had to be nerfed? It's now pretty bad in comparison to them.

Exodus of Anet fanboys to the Valve forums.
