Shadow form and players

This is a thread addressed to players who blame SF.
I don't want to make a flame thread or saying about something that was discussed in other threads.

Firstly, there are 4 types of players (talking about SF here):
-those who don't know what SF is (new people)
-those who know what SF is and use it often (and don't blaim it's use)
-those who know what SF is and blame it because they don't have a assassin or campaign required for skills

-and the people this thread is addressed: those who use SF like every day, but blame it on this forum or on the wiki talk pages.

Now the question for you: Why do you want Sf to be nerfed?

It's like using something useful every day and saying it's not fair it's so useful.
Let me give an example:
You have an rare vase (SF) and a clock (glyph and paradox).
The vase it's 100$ if u sell it to a collector, but u learn from a friend, that if you put the clock in the vase it's 1000$ worth. (Just an example, didn't found a better one) Now, learning this, you are angry because in this way, the vase it's more valuable, and you wanted this didn't happen.
This is the case of fourth type of SF players.

I have an assassin and still against Shadow Form (aka I don't use it). There's enough of these threads.

I have an assassin and have never used Shadow Form, never will. I simply do not have the need for it.

I find it completely ridiculous that I'd be able to walk into the middle of the underworld, throw up Shadow Form and then go to get a cup of tea or paint my nails as ectos rain from the skies above.


Yeah, no. Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one in the game left who enjoys playing builds That actually take skill and effort to use. Standing there as everything drops dead around me is boring.

Shadow Form needs to be gone.

I understand your answers, but still don't know why do you want to WORK or something, when you can have it with little work. I am thinking at the real life, where people want more things with less work.

But you bought a game.

I cannot stress this enough. You bought a game to play it. If they just gave you everything (Shadow form), what's the point in playing it? /uninstall and play a game that doesn't have Shadow Form. Games are meant to be FUN. Guess what Shadow Form isn't?.

Ok, i understand that, but in games there is a difficulty: if it's too low, the game it's not challenging and thus it's booring, if it's too high, the game it's frustrating.

Using and not using SF, reaches this limits: the game it's hard without overpowered spells, but easy with them.

Sometimes, the easy part is better than the hard part, and thus, that's why a lot of people use this spell.

An "I-Win"/Godmode button should never be implemented, ever. Doing so just gives people an excuse to abuse something that shouldn't exist. "Well, you put it there for me to use, I'm abusing it, but you shouldn't take it away from me."

I completely understand that if it's too difficult, you find other ways to keep it difficult, yet level it out. In Guild Wars, we have things called "skill balances." (lololo, ino, rite?). They, in theory, keep the pressure on the player but still allow a challenging and fun game.

Saying, "The game is too difficult. Here, have IDDQD." isn't the solution.

the reason why most people hate sf is probably this :

- every noob assasin has got 3 times the amount of rare items /cash/armor/ectos in hardly 4 months , then it took other people 4 years to accomplish through old ( non godmode -_- ) ways

I was running my assassin from Ice Tooth Cave to LA yesterday with SF.
It was fun!
I got to see some areas I haven't been in in ages and I didn't have to deal with killing every single red spot on the map.

As I have said - SF in it's current form is completely imbalanced.
The problem is that the rest of PvE isn't balanced. So the simple fact that SF is imbalanced isn't reason enough to trash it.
Especially if we consider how high the grind requirement is in this game (and don't even bother with the whole "don't like grind, don't do it!") and SF and some other (slightly less) broken tools (BUT broken nonetheless) make this grind a bit more in touch with the game.
So trashing SF and not fixing the core issue will just make people resort to other broken ways. And not only does A.Net know that, they actually build their last additions to PvE on that fact - which makes me think they will continue with that trend.
So instead of SF we'll just be bitching about something else in a few months.

The problem of course is that the majority of players is simply to dumb to see this.

wow such bullshit shadowform lasts i belive a little over 22 seconds so no you dont have much time to goof off and try giving shadow form to a random player and watch them (unless have proir experience) fail because its not easy energy management is bull the people who arent avid SF players say its easy but we also said monking is easy and they need to heal better back before the monk strike i guess we learnt our lesson their but are you going to let every possible clear (At the moment) get nerfed just because you dont like a skill? shadow form is key in most speedclears and those of you who want shadow form nerfed are probably going to be QQing the hardest when your farm takes 3x as long as it used to so you cannot do it much anymore. yes obsidian tank can do alot but damage can hurt them the whole time i would like to see them run up to 3 aaxte and 2 skeles at the same time and live while the rest of the team catches up. my final note to shadow form haters the people of history has always hated the unknown but if you know the effect shadow forms going to do on the game either your greedy and want to get rich from anything you have stored up or because you are done with shadow form you dont think anyone else should play with it grow up.

Yes, after SF, you non grinding people (in theory) will say that..... let's say Echo it's unbalanced.
Please, remember that in this game (and another games) grinding is needed.
I don't say required, because you can live without it, but then you can't be a good sc-er or title maker.
One example is Aion, where you need to grind almost everything (asiatic mmo's).
So, why not let SF how it's now, use something else you like (600,55 etc) and let sf players use what they like.

EDIT: i forgot to say, i am not a sc-er with my sin, i just usualy use it in runs and missions, and as the person above me says, i want to see you QQ when SF will be nerfed.

I don't farm UW, my farm will not take 3x as long, I don't need your adorable little ecto, and I honestly don't care about the price -of- ecto. I do not have a need for it whatsoever.

I don't want Shadow Form gone just because I don't like it. I want it gone because it shouldn't exist in the first place. Like I said, it's IDDQD. You shouldn't be required to be a shadow form assassin to get into some PUG groups. People were farming everywhere in this game before Shadow Form. It's possible, it's doable, and it's much preferred (See: Takes Skill).

Edit: I will not be Q_Qing when Shadow Form meets the nerf bat. I will be standing in ToA trolling those that are. Good day for me.

Ok, let me explain you what farming is (practicaly in the game): Farming is to get a lot of money or items in a short amount of time. If you say that isn't in a amount of time or isn't any measure for them, let me ask you if you come with me in a farm in Great Wall of Ascalon mission, where there are drops (gold), that fall from the monsters.
