Changing account region (currency) not possible?

My situation is fairly simple. I moved to the UK from America a year ago (to marry my guild leader - talk about getting in good with the boss.)

Because my account was created in America, using an American address, the in-game store uses USD as the currency. (This was fine last year, when the exchange rate made that favourable, but now I pay a bit more than I would in GBP.)

Is it possible to change my region to match my residence? I've had a look on the support site, which seems to say no, but is it possible to change by contacting support directly, via phone or ticket?

I have changed my address on my NCSoft master account, but this does not affect the in-game store.

I'm in the same situation as you, i moved from Europe to U.K. to live with my gf (we made our own guild together) ...

This morning i tried to buy this dwayna/grenth costume thing and get all prices in € which is more expensive than the price in £ so obviously i want to change my adress to UK.

After i changed it i got a Fraud error in the online store...(is my account getting banned now?)

I just send a ticket to support but since they are all sleeping atm in america i guess i get my answer in the next 8 hours.

Let me know what you find out, will you? If I can get answers without adding to the support ticket load, all the better.

I have purchased things through the in-game store with my U.K. credit card (in USD) successfully since changing my address on my NCSoft master account. However, I did change my address soon after moving, and well before any purchases.

If I'm stuck with USD in the in-game store, I'll live with the exchange rate, but as mine and many other financial institutions add a fee for purchases made in other currencies, it would certainly be nice to pay in the local currency.

It's now the 29th decembre, i'm still waiting for a none automated answer from support. I just want to buy something from their online store and they cant make it possible... how many people have the same problem? How much money are they not getting just because they cant solve this problem.
My Visacard is in my name... the same name as my guildwars account , how can this be fraud?

Sorry for the late reply this got sorted out already in february 2010 by A-net support , they appologized for the the time it took and for the inconvenince i had.

The solution proposed by A-net is. Get a local person to buy in with his local credit card over the N-Soft website that way you pay in local currency and his card gets accepted. Or get yourself a local credit card if you planned to live longer in that country you will need one anyways.
They can never change the currency on an account it gets linked to your home country the day you first install the game.

*btw i'm back in Luxembourg and i just bought the new helloween costumes over the ingame-store for her account it costed me 6,99 £ (GBP) and on my account 8,99 euro, i couln't be bothered doing it over the website i just lost 50 cent on the euro price, my bank doesn't charge me any fees paying in £ (GBP) so i don't care. Paying with her card in Luxembourg over the ingame-store doesn't work now...
