Doesn't seem to be for long (momentarily could be anything from 5 minutes to an hour though) - reconnect is probably disabled on this one, and I just got through all those pesky things to farm the chaos planes :-(

The login screen should have something new on it now.
We apologize that we couldn't give you all some forewarning, but this was an update that was a high priority and we wanted to get it out the door as soon as possible.

is there a "-" thing we can use in the shortcut like -email and -password? I use both of those atm (a keylogger couldn't get what i don't type) and would like to use one for this as well

Good idea how secure accounts. But I think It would be better take some upgrades like:
Special storage password, If someone or player try take some from Xunlai storage, and Character armors and weapons passwords If someone (Or player) Try salvage them.

It was so important that you guys couldn't even give us 15 minutes of warning? Your update screwed up the AT ladder and made alot of people angry.
Not to mention all the people that were probably in the middle of a dungeon or HA match.

I know my PC isn't great.. But ADualCore AMD Athlon 64 X2, 2600 MHz (13 x 200) 5000+, 4 GB RAM (DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM), ATI Radeon HD 3800 Series (512 MB), ASRock ALiveNF5SLI-1394 (3 PCI, 1 PCI-E x1, 3 PCI-E x16, 4 DDR2 DIMM, Audio, Gigabit LAN, IEEE-1394) isn't good for Guild Wars If I play Crysis in high details ?

Also since anet obviously knew about this update well in advance, there is NO reason they couldnt tell us in advance. It's not like it was some major glitch that needed fixing.

Word of advice don't pick a character name that you use for auctions sites or forums..lol common sense is a wonderful thing.
Edit: Unless you can use any toon name at any time, don't quit get the secret question thing yet, just making stupid comments.
