Problem with new costume system.

Because of the new costume system, you can no longer dress up for special PvP events like the snowball fight(unless you keep all your old festival hats, or two copies of each - one for "costumes" and one for your actual armor slot), and frankly it's taken a little bit of the pizzazz out of it for me. I enjoyed looking ridiculous for the competitive events where armor doesn't matter.
It would be nice to be able to equip a newly made festival hat to either your costume slot or your armor slot so you can still look festive for the respective event, and "dress up" when you need all your armor bonuses.

Too much work for too small of a result to implement. Makes me look cool to be one of the few running around in the original santa hat in snowball.
Eragon Zarroc
yeah, kinda annoying that this was removed from being able to be used from snowball fights, but oh well. the benefit of being able to use em anywhere in pve greatly outweights this.
Pony Slaystation
What Eragon said. You can still do Secret Lair of the Snowmen dressed as a snowman for nostalgia purposes.
Shayne Hawke
I did delete all of my old Dragon Masks without a second thought. T_T
I'd like to see this functionality brought back, but I'd rather have what we have now than just the old way.

Fortunately for me I kept the two lion masks I had (on different characters) for nostalgia. Then a day or so later I realized they'd be the only masks I had for festivals from now on. They were the only ones I ever wore anyway, though.

I'm not very happy with this either. Not only does my 1st year santa hat no longer show up in pvp, but you have to actually take your costume OUT of its slot and put it back in inventory in pvp outposts or it shows up no matter what. You can't just "turn it off and on" like everywhere else.
There appears to be issues with the login screen too. Your costume and stuff shows up there if you goto the character screen, but it's gone when you log off. It used to show your character as it was in-game no matter what you were wearing. It was a nice touch that is now messed up.

Give me a break guys, I can't believe even this is a reason for QQ... We can now use festival hats AND a costume everywhere in PvE with armor bonuses on, which is a much better addition that anything we had.
So you are complaining that you can no longer cripple your own PvP team using a stupid festival hat? To be honest, it shouldn't even have been allowed in the first place. Whenever I Monk'd and saw a teammate with a festival hat, I'd immediately think of how much extra Energy that funny looks (0 armor) would cost me...
In short, PvP is serious business; go show off in PvE or outposts only, please.

Festival PvP is one of the few times wearing festive gear makes sense. I was kinda disappointed to see it taken away by this change.
