Don't think so, it was so big because it was a new version of the exe, which is like 7.5mb.

It's a line you can add to the startup of Guild Wars that automatically types in your character name for you. I don't know why you'd need it since you can click remember my user and character in game and it works just the same.

Correct. Some people who run multiple accounts create multiple GW icons each with different email/password/character name information to simplify their time in having to retype all the crap in every time.
