Password Resetting?

First of all, I want to say that I did use search and tried looking for a similar problem, and I actually found a couple of them. However none of them were really helpful to my problem.
I haven't been playing GW for 1 years. Yesterday I thought maybe I can play again, so re-installed the game and tried logging in. It said invalid password. Even though I was pretty sure it was not an invalid pass, I decided I can just reset my password. So then I tried...I wish I hadn't. No e-mail has been sent, and I tried about 3-4 times. I contacded NCSoft support, but no answers have come up since yesterday.I would be glad if any of you could help me even if a little bit.

Did you also provide a Character Name on the login? It's a new requirement for logging in.
Other than that, support is the way to go. Obviously you already did that, so you only need to have some patience now.

Yep, I wrote the character name too. Well I'll wait for support's answer then...thanks anyway. I just can't understand why the e-mail didn't come.

ANet whole support system is pretty screwy...
Are you sure you are using the same EMail address, and did you reset through PlayNC or just through the login screen?

I reset through the GW screen, not PlayNC. And yes, I am sure that it is the correct e-mail address. I just hope support can at least answer my question in a couple of days...

i did the same thing although i went and reset the password through NCsoft website, after which they blocked my account, right now im waiting for a response from support, anyone know how long this usually takes?

My husband's been waiting since before Christmas to either receive an email with his new password in it (he reset it through the GW screen too), or to receive a response from support that gives him a new password. He's going to miss his Wintersday hat if they don't get it sorted in time, and he's really annoyed that he's been unable to play for more than a week.

On 25th Dec I read the red warning on the login screen and hit the change password button and received a notice stating that a new password had been sent to my email address. Of course, it hasn't and the old one does not work. I have tried the reset button 3 times, buty nothing received.
I have contacted NCSoft support but am getting nowwhere, despite having 2 "open issues" recorded. They even tried to close the issue and I had to mail them to re-open it as I still don't have a working password. I have sent numerous mails with no response except for the autiomatic acknowledgments with a promise to resolve. I even phoned the Support tel number in the US (I am in the UK but don't know about a contact number in the UK) and left a message (huge queue), but never heard back from them despite their promise. I also contacted GW Support, but they never bothered to acknowledge or respond at all.
So, I have played GW since it first came out and have paid for each pack, but I am now unable to play, and all because I followed their instructions and tried to change my password. For Pete's sakes...I only want my password!!!! Help please

Hmm, this seems to be a pretty common issue, and it should be fixed asap i think. By the way, I got a response from NCSoft today, and they're trying to do some stuff. They asked me to give them some info , I don't know what they'll use it for.

Thanks for that. Passed the message on to my husband so he could try it, and his old password is working again too! Very strange.

I had a problem with my password as well but it's a bit different then what happened to you people. I wanted to change my password, that's what I do about every week or so, but when I went to change it I got a message saying "Invalid Password". So I couldn't change it.
I'm like, I'm using the correct password!! Come on, I just used the password to sign in not a moment ago. Of course it isn't invalid. Well, I just decided not to change it and deal with it later.
Well, I tried to sign in later and it didn't work. I tried entering my correct password multiple times and nothing worked. I tried having it reset and that didn't work. I sent information in to the Support Team. (Got no reply.)
Well, finally I tried a last resort. I tried using the new password I was going to change the old one to and would you believe it! It worked! So, it successfully changed my password even though it told me that it wasn't successful.
It's so weird. Kinda scary too.

I changed my (GW login) password a couple of days ago. of course i forgot i and I tried the reset(@gw login) a few times. the system confirmed évery single time an email was sent to my address....nothing arrived....not even as a spam.
resetting my NC account however does work and i received their mail withing 5 minutes.
the only reply i got was this... but he obviously has no clue as i wanted to know why resetting does not work for me.
