Getting the little avatar next to your name

Hi, I wasn't sure if this belonged in the technician's corner or not so feel free to move me if this is in the wrong spot xD. I was wondering how you got that little avatar thing right underneath your name. I checked on my profile but i couldnt find anything that would let me edit my profile to add a picture underneath my name. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Also, as a side note, I'm a complete computer noob so if it has complicated steps i would appreciate it very much if you broke in into simple english, like if you were talking to a 5 yr old how to use a computer. Ok well like i said any help would be appreciated. thank you community

Hmm, hope this is what you need:
User CP -> Edit Avatar (under "Setting and Options", in "Your Control Panel", on the left side of the window) -> either upload a picture from computer or give an url.

ok now i have another problem xD. im trying to upload this image from the internet to put on my profile

however it says its an invalid file. what should i do?

THe size of your picture is too large 100 pixels x 100 pixels is the largest allowed.

ok.. so how do i know what the size of the picture is? i'm not very good with computers so im not sure if there is a way to tell how many pixels it is

Imageshack will resize it for you if you want. Once that's done, save it to your computer and upload it to the forums.
