Agreed, how DARE Anet inconvenience you by making an update during a holiday so players can get <15,000 ping while standing in Kamadan.

lol same when i saw the update files i thought it was a skill balance update which would have sure been nice on new years eve

Oh well should stop expecting these sorta things...well it will 'probably' be next week...I'm sure anet knows just how delayed it is and wouldn't release any later than next week...well...i hope so

Then prepare to be even more disappointed, as such updates usually occur the second thursday of a month, therefor won't be until at least the 14th

if they're even on time.

and does this mean we will get dc'd if we afk on a ring?

It will be fun if the afk people come back tomorrow and all rage because Anet made a update in the middle of their afk because the old instance of the game doesnt get any hats.

I hope so as I don't think anyone should get anything by being AFK. So after 10 minutes or maybe 30 max if you're still in the same spot then you get disco'd.
