OK...so I saw "A new build for Guild Wars is now available. Please close program and run again" and thought to myself Oh boy! They fixed hat bug
Now I can't log back in...
I get message:
"Guild Wars was unable to complete the operation.
Please try again in a few minutes (Code=050)"
now I'm sad....

Basically the same as an err7 but with a different name. I haven't had any problems. Try again, might just be bad luck first time in.

I'm getting error 050 trying to go into kamadam, but everywhere else seems to be working for me.

Same here. Can use any char not on kamadan, once I try to go there BAM! error = 50
F'ing lame. Can't collect the hats anymore.
EDIT> Now trying to log into a char that was in Kamadan takes me to the "create a char" screen and going back shows me an empty account. If I log out then back in then I can see my chars. LMAO. Way to screw it up with that "new build".

I'm having the same problem as the OP. I've noticed that it only happens when I attempt to log a character into Kamadan. I can log other toons into other towns fine.

I'm getting Code=50 going from guild hall to Kamadan and from LA to Eye.

Well I am getting error 50 with just one character. I can login fine on all my other one and my other account. The one character that cant get in is the one the one that was wearing the new costumes. That character is also in the Eye.

Plenty of error 50 here too. Couldn't get into Eye of the North, then couldn't get out of HoM via door portal, had to zone back to LA, still lots of other ppl saying the same thing. So close and yet so far. Can we get a coder who isn't hung over to debug?

Oh, was there a new build/bug fix? Because GW just crashed on me and forced a re-login. Oh well, I just want the bug to go away. ;_;

They may have fixed the hat issue and in the process deleted Kamaden. Be careful what you wish for!

I have 4 accounts, 3 are in LA, one is in kamadan. The three that are in LA loggged on fine, the one in kamadan keeps getting an error 050.
I took the advice of one of my guildies and switched to an asian district on another charecter and I was able to log in. Getting error 050 when connecting to american or international districts.

By logging into a character not in the bugged towns, then switching to the Korean district, you can switch to the character in Kamadan no problem. I've tried this on a few accounts and its worked every time. I haven't tried it with the other bugged towns.

Made a PVP char, changed to Asia and then tried to log in with the chars in Kamadan.

My mesmer has all my shards and is in kamadan, my elly and monk are in EOTN and all are getting Code = 50, I havnt gotten any hats all day long and now I cant log in for the next event in 20 minutes!

- I've received the Error=50 on my main PG (stationing in Kamadan)
- I've opened another PG (actually in Balth) and changed district from America to Europe/English
- Reopened my main in Kamadan (Europe/English and without error :-) )

Yea been doing the switch ever since had code 50......now new build and its still giving out the code
Just keep trying guys if its important to you if not then keep clear of Kamadden for the time being

I had the EXACT same problem except.....
I was running 2 accounts. My main connected just fine and dandy. My alternate account was fine except my Mesmer was stuck. Kept getting 050 errors. So I switched over to another character and changed to Euro district. Hopped back onto my Mesmer and things were fine. As soon as I attempted to change back to American d1 or d2 I get the same error message and only on my Mesmer. This also only happened in the EoTN outpost. Took about 10 minutes of trying but I eventually got my Mesmer reconnected to EoTN ad1. Things have been fine since.
